The university is so beautiful. Very different from my 1970s architecture university! Ravishingly stunning! What a country! Magnificent! Thank you for the video!
I wish I had taken advantage of the restaurant downstairs for breakfast on my cruise. The food and choices were much better than what I usually opted for which was the breakfast in the lounge. I did it for the views. Actually, dinner was the only time I really ate in the main restaurant especially as I made new connections onboard. And oh boy, I hadn't drunk so much wine as I did those 7 days on the Seine. Thanks for the preview of what to expect when I go on the Duoro with AMA.
This was such a beautiful old village with so many interesting things to see. I love all the cork items and like you I would find it hard to make a decision what to buy. Isn't it a shame that all religions can't live in harmony together like they did here in these early times.
It takes me a good 10 minutes, Daniel 😂to get my breakfast settled on the table and even then I always forget something, e.g., glass of water. Thanks for all your comments!!! ❤
I love your food, glorious food videos. From what I have seen in the video the food is quite different from what you showed us on the Viking Ocean cruise. Which one do you prefer?
There is no comparison between Viking ocean and river cruises. Viking definitely has better ocean cruise food! Thanks for your time to view and watch. It is very appreciated! 🥰
The food looked wonderful ! I think Ama usually has very good food and I especially like the breads they serve. Did they serve many Portuguese or Spanish wines on this cruise?
It basically means that the Purser or Flight Attendents tell us flyers who stick to United like glue, how much United appreciates our loyalty. Little things mean a lot, Sasha. 🤔
It all looked good. I'm glad to see that you're out and about seeing the world. We made it to Germany last month. Thanks to your help, it was an awesome trip. We spent four days in Munich and four days in Garmisch Partenkirchen. I had never been to Garmisch, but I believe it won't be the last time. Thanks for doing the videos. I'm sure they help a lot of people. I'm definitely one of it not your biggest fan!!
Thanks so much Rick! So glad to know my vids helped you and you had a wonderful time. I do have vids taken in Garmisch up on the channel. Don’t know if you saw them? Deeply appreciate your time to view, comment and support. Best to you and Happy traveling! 🤣
Good morning. Thanks for the shout out. You really did yourself a disservice by not getting done of the whole loaf bread that they will crave for you to your liking ( I like a thicker piece of bread)😊🍞🥖
I noticed that you are sitting at a table for two, which is great to see. Viking River cruises don't offer two-person tables in the dining room. If I want to share a table with several other people, that may be nice ... but I don't want to be forced into doing that every night. Tables for two on a river cruise are a must for me and I am pleased that Ama offers that.
Hi Scott. Tables for 2 is the main reason I choose AMA over Viking. That and the selection of included excursions! You, me and many others feel the same way about not being forced to be a big tables. Best to you and thanks for your time to view and comment. 🥰
Agree. Our last Viking River Cruise was to the Christmas Markets. We did so much walking each day and by dinner we were exhausted and just wanted to sit by ourselves and talk. That never did happen. In October we are on a Princess Ocean Cruise and because we're in a suite we can reserve a 2-top each night, if we want to. Way more our speed.
The Palace and grounds are so beautiful. Portugal is such a lovely country. I remember back in the day.... 1970's....... if we had Mateus wine, that was something very fancy at the time... LOL. I don't know if you can still even buy it in the US now.
Sheila, any idea of many of your passengers on the ship were first-time cruisers and/or first-time to any part of Europe? Curious... The Aleutians? Will you be starting that early like you did this one, lol? Best from you know where.
The scenery along the Douro is so beautiful. I'm getting excited about my Ama cruise there in 2025. I'm also always impressed by the engineering of the locks..... amazing to watch !
It’s rare I find a wine I don’t like 😂 so all in all, pretty darn good! In Unga, Aleutians today, completely deserted by locals that has TWO FERAL COWS! Now I’ve heard it all.
