This is an amazing video! It's very informative, detailed, easily explained and honest. This is what I had to go through when I had the biopsy done that finally let me know that I had Brooke Spiegler Syndrome. I was told what they were going to do to do my biopsy, but it is amazing to actually see it in action. I will definitely be sharing this video on my BSS Facebook page today for Treatment Week. Thanks for making this video!
I just had one done yesterday on my shoulder up by my trap muscle and oh man it hurts cuz the location. I turn my head a certain way and I feel it. I can't lay on that side either. Yeah this is gonna be a fun week. Im just glad the mole is gone and it was not cancerous.
Here's the response from Dr. Anderson: "Good question. It really depends on what we are removing and where on the body we are removing it. If it is a melanoma we are removing in the office we go into the deep subcutaneous fat or directly on top of fascia. If it is an atypical mole, we just go into the subcutaneous fat. There are a lot of variables to consider when excising a lesion but these are basic guidelines." Hope this helps!
@@DoctorpediaYT Followup question, is it also the lesion type that determined how invasive a technique you use? This technique seemed quite invasive vs. a shave excision for example.
Is it possible to remove head scar made by hot water with this kind of operation? A small patch is made and the hair is lost due to very hot water. If possible how much is the cost? I would be very thank ful if you could reply on this. thanks
One of my moles came back as precancerous after it was shaved and they told me I’ll have to go in and get skin removed and stitches, would this be the same procedure that Ill have done?
Thank you for your comprehensible video. I had a wide excision (in the hospital), because my test results came back VIN 3 and AIN 3. The margins weren’t cleared so I am scheduled for yet another colposcopy and biopsy in 4 months. During this time I have had multiple cryo, VBeam and biopsies on my face. Today I was shocked to hear that I would be having more cryo, ED&C and 2 more biopsies. My sister died at 30 from BRCA, my mother has basal cell carcinoma and cannot find success with “wart-like” treatment on her hands as she spent decades playing golf. My youngest sister has had a lumpectomy-same as I. Should I ask either doctor for a Sentinal Lymph node biopsy? I fully understand that I am asking a rhetorical question since you have no pathology to study. I am only asking if I am doing all I can. I am extremely nervous with doctors and often fail to ask questions. I would be honored to receive a reply. Thank you, Kellyanne
