I think the leaf looked the best (most prominent) in the front. The little table is a gem and the glass top will not hide the beautiful pattern. Your garden is cheerful, Jeanette, and so are you and Richard. Happy gardening! 💚
I love hearing you talk about your garden and your plans. Of course, I love seeing your garden, too. Love it. That leaf looked good in all those places, but I really like it in the front where Purple Head is now.
Hello there Bikegeist and thanks so much for your message!! It’s so great hearing everyone’s opinions … but you know that I am with you on putting it in the front garden 😂 I’ll see what everyone else says 👍 it’s all fun though. Wishing you a really great week 🌷🌷🌷
Loved all of it. Especially the bird song, your little white pooch and the arch mirror window. Oh yes, and the plants and shelving, your hangers and tubs. Love the water feature. Your conversation and your ideas. Thankyou!
Oh thank you very much Sapere for such lovely comments and I think I filmed this quite early in the morning that day which is why the birds were singing so beautifully 🎶 hope you’re having a lovely week 🌺
I really need to get out and start more work in the garden. You’re giving me motivation! I’ve done some in my front boarder, bought a few new pots and currently trying to find the best positions and so on. Now, getting out to the back is a whole new story.
Hello Carrie, I’m so glad if I’m giving you motivation but it’s hard to push yourself outside unless it’s lovely and sunshiny isn’t it? I am a fair weather gardener and probably would skip a weekend if I didn’t have to make a video, so you are all my motivation as much as I might be yours 🙏🩷 wishing you a great week 🩷🌷
Hello Garnetta, I am so surprised how many people love the head 😂 loving having everyone’s opinions. And thank you, it’s good to be back again! Have a lovely week 🩷🌷
Good evening, Jeanette. Glad to see Richard looking so well. I find yor videos so relaxing to watch. In terms of balls, I've been on the lookout for stone balls for my garden, maybe a little bigger than your white one. It's great to jave those shapes. By the way I'd go with the ivy too. It'd make a lovely organic backdrop. Happy gardening.
Hello dear Rachel and I hope you had a great holiday! What an amazing experience! And you’re back in the garden at the very best time of year which is perfect! Thanks for watching and I hope you’re having a great Easter 🐣
Everything looks lovely, and the plans sound great! The leaf looks great up front, but it should be whatever you are happy with. It's great to see your sweetheart Richard looking so happy and well! Thank you again for sharing your garden with us! ❤❤❤
Oh thank you Michelle 🩷 that’s such a lovely message. He’s doing really well, but it’s taking time. Spring helps brighten everything up though 🌷 have a happy week 🩷
Greetings from across the pond. The leaf is a great find; I much prefer it the Mr. Purple Head 🤪. I like it in the front garden but as someone else commented, I’d put it in the back where you will probably enjoy it more. I do agree with Richard (hi Rich); leave the globes unpainted and find a way to illuminate them at night - that could be quite stunning. What wonderful gifts from Alton’s, your sister and your former coworkers, all items that will look right at home in your garden which is looking lovely.
Hello my dear JC and thank you!! I hadn’t thought of lighting up the balls until a few people have suggested that so I might try that. Could look fun. 🤩 thanks for being on Team Janette with the head 😂 I am surprised though how many people do like it!! Have a happy week 🩷🌷
Hi Janette. I have always liked Mr Purple Head but thought how good that leaf, which is lovely, looked in your front garden. I do think however it also looked good in the first border round your lawn. What lovely gifts you’ve received, those baskets will look lovely on the garage wall - I could visualise the effect you want to achieve. I look forward to seeing all your ideas being fulfilled in the future.
Good to see you back again, for early Spring your yard is looking good . We still have snow on the ground but it's slowly disappearing. The leaf looks perfect in the front, but you did make me laugh each time you said purple head. Happy gardening from Edmonton Alberta Canada.
Hey Iris and thank you! I must admit I was watching the video on my TV last night, which I do once I’ve uploaded them, just to check them out, and Rich said “how many times do you need to say purple head”! 😂 And … I didn’t realise what else it can mean either 😂 hope you’re having a great day 😂🌷🌷
Happy Spring, I am so happy to see that the two of you are well! I agree with Richard, don’t paint the globes, they look good the way they are. Love Donna,
Hello there Donna and thanks for joining us! I’m not going to paint the balls now, so many people said the same as you & Rich. I have something else in mind now though 😉 have a Happy Easter 🐣🐣
Hi! Your garden is looking beautiful! I love the leaf!! Wherever you choose to place it will be perfect! If the purple head decided to walk away I wouldn't be sad but don't tell Richard! We want him happy also! 😂🥰
maybe consider spraying the balls silver and see if you can get a couple more of different sizes could look quite effective. love watching you in your garden. Xx
Hi there Julie, where in Essex did you live? I’m in Langdon Hills just off the A127. I had always fancied a circular lawn ☺️ I’m glad if I’ve inspired you 👍 hope you’re having a great first week of Spring 🩷🌷
I like the leaf in the front. I would also think the glass balls would look great with lights on timers inside. Maybe on some sort of stand. Your metal table find will look nice in your lovely garden.
Hi, Janette! Your garden looks great! It is so neat and tidy. I lo e your leaf sculpture. I wouldn't put it in the front. I like the places in the garden you showed us. Enjoy your week!❤
Hello there Dawn and thanks so much!! I’m loving hearing everyone’s ideas, it’s so helpful and I’m getting tips I’d never have thought of myself. Us gardeners do have THE best community 🩷 have a lovely week 🌷🌷
Hi Janette your gardens looking lovely. Love the leaf sculpture i like it in the back garden personally. If you put it in the front garden you wont be able to enjoy it as much you wont see it when your sitting in the garden. Like the lamp shade balls i also have two in my garden. Nice to see Richard looking well. Happy Easter to you both 🐇🐥 xx
Hello there Lou, lovely to chat again. It’s great to read everyone’s opinions!! I’m not sure about the balls still so I’m leaving them there for a while to have a think. Hope you’re having a great week so far 🌷🌷🌷
I like the leaf out front, the brick background was really nice, also liked it in the garden over by the small evergreen. The free planters are lovely, I think I'd put the hanging baskets on each end, the flat by the door. I was thinking about the hanging one might be kinda in the way going in and out. Your gifts are really nice too. Also, a nice surprise seeing you on Monday 😊
Hello Wende, and so lovely chatting again. I’m with you on the leaf out the front I think but I’m loving hearing what everyone thinks. Good tips about the baskets too, I haven’t actually decided what where so dull definitely think about that!! I’ve decided to upload on Mondays from now on because I don’t work Mondays now so can more easily reply to everyone and not get into trouble for doing it at work 😂 hope you’re having a great week 🩷🌷
@@TheEnthusiasticGardener I'm sure you really enjoy your new work schedule. I've been waiting on my tulips to send you a pic, I'm thinking some of the beautiful daffs will be over by then. Enjoy the week ahead, see ya Monday.
Hi Janette, such a lovely peaceful early morning garden tour. I think your new little leaf would look great in the front garden so my vote will be to say goodbye to grey 'purple' head. Hope Richard won't be too sad if the front garden vote comes out on top. The little table was such a good find and I love all the bees. Shifting the compost was a huge job but well worth the effort. So many lovely plans and we'll look forward to seeing them come to life. Hope you and Richard have a good week. Love Bron xx
Hi there Bron and thank you for joining me today 🩷 glad you’re with me on the leaf out in the front too 👍 that compost moving was a beast but it was so worth it. I hope you’re having a great first week of Spring 🩷🌷
I find the purple head is very interesting and woukd leave it🤔😊. It’s your garden Janette you choose!! The leaf is attractive in all spots. Great find in the table . Exciting seeing that come together!! You are so creative painted robes would add interest! Do it try it you are only out of time😁.
Hello Teresa, you too are Team Richard!! 😂 surprising that so many people do like the head 👍😊 I really love my table and still not quite sure about the balls, have left them out there to decide. Have a very happy week 🩷🌷
New sub here! You have such a beautiful and unique garden and sweet little dog. I had one just like her! I love your new fabulous finds! I thought the leaf looked stunning in the front garden. 🌿🌸
Hello there and thank you so much for joining me in my garden 🩷 it’s so lovely to have a new gardening friend 😊 my little Lotte is such a sweet dog ❤️ hope you watch tomorrow’s video to find out where the leaf ended up 🐣🐣🐣
I love to hear about all your plans for the garden Janette! I like the leaf ornament in the front instead of the purple head …do you think Richard would even miss it after a few weeks?! 😉. Great use of your leaf mould for the mulch - it will really benefit the soil there.
Good morning Janette, your garden always looks lovely. Richard and Lottie look fabulous. All your ideas are wonderful, I love the leaf. The gifts are beautiful, especailly the hanging bee. Take care.
Thank you Adra and I hope you’re doing ok, always lovely chatting to you. Love my leaf and the bee 🐝 too. Don’t love purple head 😂😂 have a lovely week 🩷🌷
Everything is looking so good. That grass is beautiful! We are still having near freezing temps. It should warm up soon, hopefully! Some plants have come back and blooming already and I have sweet peas that are doing well in the greenhouse. It’s been so cold that I wasn’t able to work in my woodland fairy garden 🧚. I do hope y’all are well.
Hello there and thank you for watching!! I’ve been hearing how cold it is in some places for you all over there. I bet you can’t wait to get back outside, especially your delightful woodland fairy garden so I hope it warms up for you soon. Have a happy week 🩷🌷
@@TheEnthusiasticGardener thank you….yes, I’m so ready. I have been able to work a bit in the greenhouse but not much else. It’s in the 50’s today with downpours of rain and high winds so no work outside today. But tomorrow should be much warmer. So much to do. Have a great evening and super week 🌺🩷
Thanks, Janette! Your garden is looking lovely as always with so much colour already. 🌷 Great to hear all your ideas and plans! I’m like you, not too keen on the Prurple Head!! Love the leaf sculpture and think it would fit in anywhere. 🍂 Your wrought iron table and chairs will be perfect in your patio space. ⭐️ Happy Easter to you, Richard & Lottie! 🐣
Hello Fiona and Happy Easter to you too 🐣 glad to hear you are on Team Janette too!! Thank you so much and I hope you’re having a great week so far!! 🌷🌷
Hello Janette! 👋 I like your plans for your garden and for shady corner - it is all looking so lovely! I like your idea to put the leaf in your front garden, especially if it makes you happy 😊. I also like your idea with the glass globes. I agree with Richard - don’t paint them. What about putting some battery operated fairy lights in them? The heucheras are looking lovely too! How are the geranium plants in your attic doing? Take care! ❤
Hi Lauren, I was only chatting to someone yesterday about the geraniums and how I must get them down and have a look. On the one hand I hope they haven’t died, but on the other hand if they’re still alive then I have an awful lot of potting up to do 😂 thanks also for all your opinions and suggestions, quite a few people have said put solar lights in the balls so I might try that 👍 wish you a fabulous week 🩷🌷
Thanks so much Amelia. I adore the leaf too. Not 100% sure about the balls so just leaving them in the garden while I decide. They look a bit bright to me. But we shall see and I am loving hearing everyone’s opinions. Have a happy week 🩷🌷
Hello Janette and Richard🫶, I’m watching this on my break and it’s just what I needed to unwind, thank you. Looking forward to all of your projects and plans for spring and beyond. Everything in the garden looks so neat and tidy, you are really one step ahead 🎉. A wheelbarrow is a gardeners best friend😉. I liked where you put the leaves now, easier access. I agree with Richard, leave them unpainted and dot them around, how cute would that be🥰? It’s still very cold here on Long Island NY, especially at night. Love fb marketplace, always something on there, great find, I love the unique table, it’s going to look 👏.love your new wall planters too,Janette you are so inspiring 🤩🪴🌿. My lenten roses are already up and looking fabulous 🥳. Janette, fyi, please be careful as ivy as you know can overtake everything and spread into the garden and it’s so hard to get rid of.
Hello my lovely friend and thank you for all your lovely comments and suggestions. I’m not 100% on the balls so I’m having a think about those. And I’ll bear the Ivy in mind, although I’ve been advised to cut out any branches growing horizontally and just let the vertical ones grow which I think is a good idea. Long Island NY sounds so glamorous Elizabeth even though it’s cold still. Love chatting and have a marvellous week 🩷🌷
Dear Janette, that’s a great idea about how to cute the ivy👏. I just don’t want you to have a big time mess that we when we first bought our house, ivy was even crawling from the flower beds and into the siding. We put in brand new siding and the installers found it and pulled it out. One of the contrasts it even can destroy concrete foundations if left unchecked, so please keep it only to the fence line. The minute you see it crawling into your yard yank it out. I must admit it does soften a fence so it will look beautiful, on the fence only lol. Thank you, have a great week as well🫶
@elizabethgreco-nieves yes I hear you! I know it can be a thug. I’m going to go out this weekend and make sure it’s not travelling into the borders. But I do have a foot of concrete which runs along the whole of the back of the long border where nothing can grow there so I think I’d be ok. Great sound advice though 🙏🩷🌷
Hi Janette, I agree with you about getting rid of Purple Head (not a fan) and replacing him with the leaf sculpture. I am not sure if leaving the lightshade orbs white would look right but agree with Richard that painting them would be a pain when it starts to flake. But maybe spray paint would work? Your garden is a joy and looks wonderful in all seasons. Mine is drab just now apart from spring bulbs. Have a good week.
Hello Sharon and glad to hear we are in agreement with purple head 😂 it’ll have its own channel soon it’s getting so much attention 😂 I’m not sure I like the balls at all now but I’m leaving them there to see for a week. Thanks so much for your lovely comments 🌷🌷
I agree with Richard that the orbs should not be painted. The white contrasts with the green foliage and is attractive there. You've got lots of great ideas for the garden and your woodland courtyard. It will be lovely with all the green and the huecheras. Spring comes and we get excited about creating new areas in the garden. Will be watching to see how it all develops.
Hello there Karyn and thank you so much! Most people say don’t paint the balls and I’ve had suggestions to get solar fairy lights inside which I would never have thought of!! Hope you’re having a very happy week 🩷🌷
Your garden looks lovely Jeanette 😍 . I agree with you about purple head 🥴 and with Richard about leaving balls unpainted. As for the leaf, probably in front of a light somewhere with a black leaf painted on the fence or wall behind it, but leave a distance between the two.love all your projects, you really are having fun in your garden. ❤
Ooh Kim that’s a very adventurous idea for the leaf!! I would never have thought of painting a black leaf behind it!! I’m not sure about the balls, I think they’re a bit too bright, but I’ll leave them there for a week and see what I think then. Glad you’re with me on purple head though 😂 have a great week 🌷
Maybe you could get 2 of that lovely leaf ornament. One to replace purple head and one for the back so we can see it every week. It is a lovely find. 😊
Hello there!! That’s an idea, I haven’t looked online to see if the leaf is available anywhere, but I could do that. Purple head needs replacing though 😂 have a lovely week 🌷🌷🌷
I'm very jealous of all your heucharas Jeanette, I seem to have lost all mine over the winter, probably because of all the rain we have had and our heavy clay soil. I think your leaf looked lovely out the front in place of purple man.
Good morning to you Val and thank you! What a shame that you’ve lost your heucheras! I do love mine because of all the colours they come in. Thanks for being Team Janette too with the purple head 😂 lots of people seem to like it though 🤔 hope you’re having a great week 🩷🌷
Good morning good morning, as you would guess, drinking coffee and watching your video my friend. But the moment you put the leaf there in place of purple head , I said yep , she got to put the leaf there . I like that Idea . 😊
Hello dear Max and thank you for drinking your coffee ☕️ with me in the mornings 😊 I’m with you for the leaf out the front, it’s great hearing everyone’s opinions!! Have a wonderful day 🩷🌷
@@TheEnthusiasticGardener I won’t miss your videos 😊. I did learn something today, the barbecue, here in USA they called it Grill . So now I know in UK is considered barbecue 😊
Hi Janette, thank you for sharing your garden ideas, I enjoyed watching your video. I think purple head should stay in the front garden. The new leaf in the back somewhere with a contrasting background maybe or place to capture the sun. I like the white balls , don't need to paint, tell Richard I remember the TV cult series the prisoner where huge white balls chased the Patrick McGowan. (The prisoner) In fact the series was filmed in North Wales at a place called Portmerion , I told you about last year it has a fantastic Italian garden. Steve (EYe in the N)
Hey there Steve, yes I remember you telling me about Portmerion! I never watched the Prisoner, it wasn’t really a little girl type of programme but my Dad used to watch ☺️ I see you are on Team Richard then with the purple head 😂 I just don’t know if you’re going to win 🥇 😂 hope you’re having a great first week of Spring my EITN 🩷🌷
The leaf sculpture looks great everywhere you put it; however, I agree it looks much better in the front than the purple head. Also, love the white spheres and the ivy on the fence.
Thank you so much klk. I’m inclined to replace purple head I must say. I’m going to go with the majority. Thanks so much for watching and hope you have a fabulous week 🌷🌷🌷
Stunning garden, Great job, so whimsical and charming I just absolutely love it!!!! I am in Maryland Zone 7a. If you can take some time to tell us what are the plants you have can be helpful.! God Bless
Hello there Maria and thank you so much! I have quite a few gardening friends in Maryland 🤩 who watch my videos. I can definitely film a garden tour and name all the plants for you. I’ll do that in the next couple of weeks probably. Hope you’re having a wonderful week 🩷🌷
Enjoyed your tour around the garden and the birds of course....please replace purple head with leaf..! !. So much rain here in limerick Ireland can't really do much gardening yet.....and very bad weather for this week also....soooo depressing..
Hello Margaret and thank you so much! I’m in total agreement with you on the lead going out the front (and out with purple head forever 😂)! I hope the weather improves for you soon, it does get depressing when you’re desperate to do some gardening so I really do hope it does change soon. Have a happy week 🩷🌷
Hi Janette, I love, love, love, all your new things, particularly the leaf. However, no, no, no to getting rid of the purple head 😢 (you know I like having a joke about it) How about planting some ornamental grass in amongst the stones round the purple head to soften the look.? Letting the ivy grow up the fence sounds a good plan. 😊😊😊
Hello Pauline, you are Team Richard for the purple head 😂 I think it will take more than some grasses for me to love him again (the head, not Rich 😂) but I’m loving reading everyone’s comments 🩷 so helpful!! 🌷🌷
Hello Chuney and you are Team Richard 😂 I’m loving hearing what everyone thinks. So much fun. Well thank you for commenting and all will be revealed next week 😊 Have a happy week 🩷🌷
Purple head free to a good home at last 🤭 l like Spheres, but less is more, l do not think you should use them at all. White stands out too much and painting them becomes a pain. Love the leaf and the table base is perfect to go with the chairs. So good to see you being enthusiastic in your garden again and to see Richard getting better. Where to put the leaf? Try it in a different place every day for a week, then next week show us how you got on. Then we can all have fun deciding whether Mondays placing was better then Thursdays 😁. Tough gardening in 🧥🧥🧣🧣🧦🥾🥾so many layers ☕🍪☕🍪 Happy Gardening ☀️😎☀️
Hello Penny and you are always such a fountain of wisdom in my opinion 👍 love hearing your thoughts which I do agree with. Hope you have a wonderful week ahead 🌷🌷🌷
Your garden looks lovely! Teresa from Gardening on the West Fork recommended I check out your channel. She said you challenged her to share her garden on RU-vid. I’ve recently started my own gardening channel too, and I’m really enjoying the community here. So it’s nice to virtually meet you! I’ve just subscribed and look forward to seeing more of your garden videos.
Hello there and thank you so much for joining me in my garden - it’s so lovely to have a new gardening friend and I will definitely look you up too. Yes, Teresa and I are very good friends and chat all the time, she is just so lovely. Wishing you a really good week 💚
Hello there Billie and thank you for your opinion, it’s good to hear what everyone else would do!! Purple head has become a personality of its own 😂😂 thanks for watching.
The garden is looking wonderful. I’m looking forward to seeing how it develops this year. G trade to hear Richard’s “Prisoner” reference. Brought back memories of both the program and visits to Portmerion. I’m glad to hear you are going with the ivy. It gets such a bad press and needs support of gardeners like yourself. On your back fence, although it will look strange for a while, I would remove the stems that are going underneath the cross bars and train future shoots over the top, otherwise they will slowly damage the fence. Have a look at the nursery “The Plantsman’s Preference”, based a bit north of you, they have quite a range of different ivies, including species from other parts of the world.
Hello Mark, and yes! Let’s hear it for the Ivy 😂 great advice about training the shoots upwards and not horizontally, I will definitely go out and make some adjustments, thank you! I’ve been to Portmerion, many years ago when I was a kid. I never watched the Prisoner myself, I think it was more of a ‘boy’ thing back in the day. But I do remember it being on. My Dad was probably watching it 😊 thank you always for your tips and tricks which I always really value. Have a great week 🩷
Hello Janette. I like purple head which you have painted grey leave him; The leaf would look good near the path.. Your garden looks great Do not paint the balls Richard is right You still have a lot to do. So many nice things you have, Have a wonderful time in the garden
Good morning Olga and thanks for your opinions. So good to hear other people’s thoughts. I really want to paint the balls 😂 I can’t help myself!! Hope you have a great week 🌷🌷🌷
Hi Janette, your garden looks lovely. I liked the metal leaf at the front, what a bargain!! And I must follow your lead and start collecting the leaves as we have trees on 2 sides of the garden. Do you add to them throughout the year? Have a lovely week xx
Hi Debbie and thanks so much! Hope you both enjoyed your cruise!! Last year was the first time ever I’ve collected leaves and I was so amazed at how great it turned out so I’d highly recommend it. I haven’t been adding to it, but I actually thought today that I should put all my softer cuttings etc in as well so I might do that. Have a happy week 🩷🌷
😂 yes, purple head needs to go. Maybe find a tiny little space, perhaps a planter inside his workspace to sit to the side of it but I definitely like the leaf in its place. That way he can enjoy it.
Hello So many interesting jobs ahead. Must comment on how spick and span the garden looks😅 Your leaf mould is marvellous. I would still have left the bags behind the office because i imagine it is damp there which helped to compost the leaves. Also,if i remember right, you pierced holes in the base. It will make that unused side entrance messy when they start their decomposing. The white globes and the leaf would look nice in the front garden. That's my preaching done😂 So glad to see you and Richard. You both take it easy💞👨❤️💋👨💗🥰
Hello Sharon and thank you for all your great tips and you have a valid point about messing up the side entrance when the leaves decompose … hmm I will have a think about that! Wishing you a great week 🌷🌷🌷
Loved the opening of your video with the silent tour. It felt as if I was actually there. The garden is absolutely beautiful and well thought out. Seeing your tall pink pots has strongly influenced me to paint two pots in my garden a very similar color. Thanks for the inspiration. I'm with Richard that I like Purple Head. However, your use of the word "offensive" with it would seem to be a strong indicator that you should replace it with something that brings you joy. I think the leaf would look nice placed on a slight cant to the immediate left of your tropical palm tree. I like the suggestion of one of the viewers to use glass paint if you decide to paint the round light shades. I think they would look nice right where you showed it to Richard rather than with the other balls. It brings the spherical theme across the garden in a pleasantly subtle way. They also might look nice in what now is the carex window box. Perhaps some solar string lights could be put inside them. Sweet for those evening sits in the chairs below it. I'm wondering if you might reconsider placing the new wall torch somewhere other than near the entrance of the Woodland Courtyard. It seems to disrupt the beautiful view of the wall lattice there. Perhaps it could go to the right of your potting bench where the colors complement each other. The new gifted rusty bee plaque would look very nice where you had talked about putting the wall torch and really complement the little "key" wall hooks below. At minute 17:08, It would look terrific if you kept the metal flower plaque right there where it is, only mounted to the wall as if they are growing from the pavers. Sorry to go on but love your garden so much I get carried away with your request for suggestions. So glad Richard is recovering well.
Hello there and oh my goodness, thank you so much for all your style tips!! I have screenshotted your comment so I can read them again and will definitely bear them in mind. I hope you do paint your pots! I’d be very honoured if I have given you an idea. Solar lights in the balls … I would never have thought of that!! Have a wonderful week 🩷
I’d put it where purple head is. Honestly, I’m not crazy for purple head, but if Richard likes it, I’d leave it. Your garden it so pretty, we still keep getting snow.
Hello Nancy and thank you!! I’m loving reading everyone’s opinions and suggestions, it’s like I have my own style gurus 😊 you’d be surprised, there are quite a few friends in favour of purple head 😂 have a lovely week 🌷🩷
Well when you think of Easter Island, purple head is pretty amazing. Purple head looks really good there if you decide to keep it. The front garden is really very nice.
Sorry Richard, but I think purple head should go, and the leaf art is a very good replacement, and the rest of the garden looks so bright and cheerful 🌸
Hello Lois and thank you for being on Team Janette 👍😂 but it’s surprising that quite a few people love the head 😂 I will reveal all next week! Have a lovely day 🩷🌷
Hello there Steffie and thank you! Most of my ornament bits I’ve painted. In fact last year everything that wasn’t moving had a coat of paint 😂 I got a bit carried away with myself 🤩 hope you’re having a great first week of Spring 🩷🌷
Hello there Diane, I am afraid last weekend he went for good! I made a video showing his fate 😂 you might like to watch, it’s called “Garden Jobs For Easter No.2 of 4 : Garden Artwork” if you’d like to watch. I think it might make you smile 😊🩷😂
If you hate purple head and Richard agrees I do think you should get rid of it. I suggest testing/showing the locations at golden hour, the sites where that last bit of sun is still striking 😊
I do hate it 😂 but I’ll see what everyone thinks, and no doubt move the leaf around at the end of the day like you suggest 😊 hope you have a fabulous week 🌷🌷🌷
Well done getting shot of the massive family size bar b que, don't blame you, I cant stand them. Purple head is weird, in my opinion, much prefer a nice ever green feature plant. Janette when you looked at your huechera, did I notice your fatsia? I think there may be a moth or something living / over wintering in the leaf, as they looked curled over. Thanks for sharing. bfn . 🐞🌻🌱
Oh yes Jane that barbecue was ridiculously too big for us two. Glad it’s gone to a lovely family from Zimbabwe who barbecue all the time 👍 oh I’ll have a look at my Fatsia to see if there are any nasties on there, thanks for pointing that out 💚🩷
Hello there and thank you for your great tips. Even though Rich said don’t paint them, I think they would look better. If I spray them with clear varnish after that would stop the paint flaking. Thanks for watching 🌷🌷🌷
Hi Janette, have you seen Bunny Guinness latest video.? She talks about the huge benefits of mulching in terms of feeding the soil. I never realised just how important it was.... I was going to say let purple head stay, but looking at him again he's not very attractive I think he should go😅❤xx
😂😂 he’s definitely not very attractive 😂 oh yes I watched Bunny’s video too. Very interesting and she said about fertilising being unnecessary too. And so did Jim Puttnam on HortTube so that was interesting to hear. Hope you have a fabulous week 🌷🌷🌷
Hi Julie!! Well I have had quite a few suggestions about lighting up the balls and the best idea I think is to get some little solar panel fairy lights and put those inside. So I think I’m going to see what I can find and give that a try. Might look really cute ☺️ thanks so much for watching and hope you’re having a great first week of Spring 🩷🌷
So okay ... I think that I like the Leaf in the front of your garden and as far as the Purple head I liked the Purple color. However If you really don't like the look way not paint it black and then it won't be as noticeable and I would make that knot on it's head into a hat with so sort of brim omgoodness two many questions today .
@@TheEnthusiasticGardener What .. Oh I bet that if you thought about it you could make a brim . How about an Aluminum pie tin cut a hole in it and a little tape around it and there you go .. any way you have a lot of great ideas going ... Starting Spring is so much fun . I'll have to tell you some time what I am up to this Spring .
Hello there and thank you for joining me all the way from Indonesia 🇮🇩 it’s amazing how we can so easily connect with each other across the world nowadays 🩷 wishing you an amazing week 🩷🌷
Hello there, I had to watch the beginning again to listen ☺️ truth is I don’t actually know I’m afraid, all the birds seemed to be singing that morning, it was very lovely, but I couldn’t tell you which birds they were I’m afraid 😊 hope you have a Happy Easter 🐣
