The Father of Jaguars Football. He demanded excellence, and his teams played as close as they could to achieve it. So much of my football knowledge is owed to this one man in particular. Just Being a fan of the team he coaches teaches you so much because of how logical his style is & how tried & true the results were. One thing i appreciate the most about every team he’s associated with, even more so now, were how his teams were comprised of players who didn’t have a habit of folding at the mere whiff of adversity. Those hard practices & training camp’s conditioned 53 very rich individuals, how to persevere when things sucked, and how to stay hungry & humble after achieving success. There’s was a point where I thought maybe a more accommodating style of coaching is better suited for professional athletes of the modern age. But as I got older, I’ve learned sometimes the new way isn’t always better, and the way things were done before the age of instant information was implemented & passed down from one generation to the next, because it worked.
