Well, I dont think the encampment spot is zoned for residential usage, and the tire shop pays taxes to run a business while the unhoused pays nothing for their free spot.

How exactly is this homeless dude able to afford an attorney? It's not like a homeless person can't go anywhere else if they don't like where they are. My mother's coworker was murdered by a homeless person after closing the used goods store he worked at. Tolerating the unpredictability of homeless criminals/addicts is tolerating danger, period. Cities and towns should do more to get these people off the streets for the productive and contributing members of society that actually form the fabric of a society. People are learning that the hard way down in San Francisco and Oakland where businesses are leaving left and right due to the unsustainability of absorbing all the thefts, and the danger to employees with violent incidents rising, which is causing citizens to re-think their kumbaya bleeding-heart voting strategy, at least it should be if citizens are smart and want to save the communities that they live in.

The homeless man will own his business

Those machines are obnoxious in general and disturb all the wildlife. such as sleeping birds, as well as legitimate human residents. Thieves know that these also mean no one is there, and are use to the broadcasts going off, so it isn't much of a deterrent, like car alarms. Businesses should invest in high resolution cameras, silent alarms or onsite security. Give a guy like this, or another struggling senior without substance abuse issues, an RV on the lot and a little income to have a presence and keep trespassers off. That would work better.

Maybe the tire shop can make it a motion sensor light and noise maker. Something moves on their fences or by their gate (like throwing trash over) and suddenly there are bright lights and sirens or music for 5 or 10 minutes. People can get used to constant sounds, but not sudden and random ones. It's not a residential neighborhood, so they may be able to use louder noises at night.

Homeless people deserve respect and compassion.

Noise pollution is against the law. If we can't play loud music in cars then churches and.businesses shouldn't either. I got a church a mile down the highway and I can hear their music which is rediculious. It is the same song over and over. drums beating. It is also against The American Disability Act to deny the disabled sleep, food, or transportation. So by making noise waking up the disabled it is 100 years in federal prison for abusing the disabled. So this mans got a case of "Abusing the disabled and elderly". Which is federal law and a hundred years. So the man has a case despite his homelessness. Citizens have rights. This is why he got a lawyer PRO BONO. The lawyer thinks he can win the case. So the lawyer only gets paid if he wins the case. Many new lawyers work pro bono cases, because they have no reputation. They got to win cases and build a reputation before people will take them serious and pay them by the hour. Most pro bono lawyers take criminal cases because people in jail have no money.
