Ive lived 25 minutes south of D.C for my entire life. I’ve been there a handful of times. It’s crazy there. Carjackings, shootings, theft are just a few of the more frequent happenings there.

This has before, agree, but worse in 80s-90s. it was of course always around , most cities in US have some level of gun violence, dc no exception during more peaceful times. I’ve only seen it at its best between early 2000s through 2020. The pandemic shutdowns reintroduce some of the violence back. But hopefully, more tiktok restrictions and busier times in DC will slow down some of it.

I'm more curious to know about why it appears we now need to assume that everyone is armed, and short-tempered. Who was the shooter? Any prior offenses? Why was he being asked to leave the club?
