I love David Rubenstein's answer at 11:55 about how he intends to lead, "Let the Manager and GM do what they know how to do...and make sure they are adequately compensated."
Great job Ryan…I’m from Churchville, 2 miles from Ripken Stadium….your Pops has given my brother and I countless amounts of joy growing up…alway been such a good, honest man. Keep up the great work dude, God bless you and your family
Well this interview ought to change that. Excellent channel and it makes it even better how he’s the son of the legend and now partial owner. Couldn’t have put it together better.
@@micawells4608 conner newcomb says hold my naddy boh.....check out locked on orioles with conner....its not about whats better but its orioles fans talk8ng baseball....sign me up
I cannot remember ever having been this excited for a season to start. Cal mentioned it, and I'm so glad to hear that The Oriole Way is back in business (or maybe it's The Oriole Way 2.0 with the Growth Mindset focus at the heart).
So excited to see what Mr. Rubenstein, your dad, and the others do with the team. Would love to see the O's win a World Series in my lifetime. Hoping now is the time to make that dream come true. As a Maryland native I will forever bleed orange. Go O's!
I've been an O's fan since my first game on 33rd St in/about '78 when I was 7. I was with my grandfather (who's sill with us, nearly 97 now,) and my dad. I can't remember a time that I've been more excited for not only this season, but the future of the the O's.
I got the chance to meet Cal twice in South Carolina during college spring training years ago. Such a cool guy. He was coaching his son's team, but he took the time to sign some things and take pictures with my buddies and I. A hugely memorable experience. As a die hard Mets fan, I love those Orioles. Cant wait to see what Jackson Holliday brings to the table.
I've been wishing for a local investment group that included Ripken for years so this is very much like an early Christmas present for me. I hope this is the start of a run much like the 1966-1983 run of success.
Great interview, it’s great to see Cal back where he belongs. I’ve been indifferent about the O’s for a couple decades, this plus the excitement coming off last year gives us old fans something to cheer about. I was there for the late 60’s, 70’s, and 83. Can’t wait to enjoy BB again.
SHOW ADLEY THE MONEY 💰 🤑. Adley is the heart and soul of the O's and we have to make sure he stays with the Orioles! Thank you Ryan and Dad for the success of your podcast and becoming the Go-to for all things O's on a daily basis!
Original Bmorean and O's fan from days of both the Robinsons! SO happy to have local ownership who CARE about Baltimore and what it means. Let's go O's! Great pod, Ryan - gained a sub!
So cool to see you on your own journey R2. Miss those days over off Mandel throwing around in the backyard with the boys. What a time to be covering the birds! 👏🏼
Rubenstein had me at hello...he got me forever for taking time to mention African Americans not being a part of the game anymore and fans when the city is majority African American. Thats let me know alot. I appreciate it!!!
Thank you for this interview. It was awesome. Man, there is a buzz going in this town. Can't wait for this season. Birdland is primed. So happy we have this great new ownership team.
Hell of an interview Ryan! I hope your show takes off this season! I love watching this podcast. Becoming my favorite! I can’t wait to see your content as the season begins! Keep it up boys!
Ryan Bartholomew Ripken 2nd Cousin to Stumpy Jimmy in Aberdeen on your father's side WELL DONE👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 Ryan Great Job brother you got it bro Charisma for days! Mr Rubinstein saying at the end that you would win MVP most valuable Podcaster 🎉banger! 😂 Kevin Oysterstriker Great job on the edits ! You guys Rocco Zach Kevin Brad and Ryan work great together and I can't wait to see the show Grow much Love guys Go O's
Really well done interview. Not just saying that because I'm a Cal Ripken, Jr fan and Orioles fan. My favorite baseball memory was when I was around 11 or 12 years old. Went to Camden Yards, brought some baseball cards to hopefully get signed. One was a Donruss Ripken card and I remember seeing Cal signing autographs and he signed mine and my brothers. It was surreal. I never thought I'd have the chance to get that close to him AND have him sign a card. Country boy living close to 200 miles away that drove up to the city with his family and only ever saw Cal on HTS.
We are ALL proud guys. We have some hope. We never quit on this team. It’s been a long time coming… I was born in 1983. So let’s bring one back asap. I don’t want to disparage previous ownership…. Us long time fans are just happy to be away from that now. LET’S GO O’S!!! Let’s make some MAGIC happen!! WHY NOT!!!!!!???
It's about time Cal is in the front office. God we hated the Angelos family running the Orioles. They ran it into the ground. They only were good once the Angelos family got out of the way. Don't get rid of Elias and Hyde. Good GM and Coach duo.
Great job Ryan, you are a heck of an interviewer, and to interview your father and a billionaire professional interviewer himself in Mr. Rubenstein, very impressive. I am so excited for our city! Now lets rebuild this Key Bridge and Get that World Series!
Rip, very nice job! Happy you got the first Rubenstein/Ripken interview after the ownership announcement. I can see you, ROC and the crew making content for MASN and eventually the big stations.
You're funny Ryan, you say you're 30 now and maybe in the future your body may not feel young . Check that my young friend. When you're me and your dad's age your body WILL betray you!!! Enjoy your youth son.
