Working roof fans are cool when they work properly unlike the crud Hornby chucked into their 21pin class 43 HST packs, a choice of high detailed class 31 is ok as long as the prices are similar.

Class 08s in normal operation ie shunting display a red and a white at both ends...making directional only applicable for main line operation and as switches for the lights where on the light it self or a red lense over white light (some changed later in life) many times on the main line had both lit😊

Did you listen to what was said? They said in the video it's been in development for a few years. They aren't going to abandon sll that research, design and development. It was said in the past that the Bachmann 47 cost £1m to get it to market.

All Accurascale did was announce their 31 first - we have no way of knowing who actually started their project first and quite likely neither knew the plans of the other - why would they?

If Bachmanns make its first to market id bet they started development first. Accurascale announce thier projects earlier. It will be funny if Bachmann announce a class 50 soon so we can have this all again😂

@@MikeParkin65 given the N gauge offering they already tooled up they already had a lot of the research needed in the bag anyway so they definately started long before in that sense.

Unlikely with the prices Bachmann charge…probably cost £1000+ 😬

By which you mean YOU don't need another 31. People go on about how newcomers like Accurascale, Cavalex etc. should be making Hornby and Bachmann raise their game. This is evidence of that surely.

I think Bachmann are doing a Class 69 at least. No one else is doing that. I hope Bachmann do a Class 60 and a Class 56 as they would be the best.

They won't, it will be far north over £200 & £300 for DCC Ready & DCC Sound respectively.

I do hope tomorrow's announcements are more interesting than this.

Nice idea, but would there be enough sales though?. Hornby has been doing an amazing 60 for years, (I’ve got 2 of them), and theres a new 60 from Cavalex due later this year. With a small class, I doubt the market would support 3 r-t-r models.

@@robwallace266 I agree with you on the Hornby Class 60 and I have a few of them as well mate. I am staying with Hornby for their Class 60 after being burned by the shoddy drive line on the Cavalex Models Class 56. I am not going to bother with their Class 60 model after being mocked, attacked from fanboys on RMWeb and no response from Cavalex Models either. I have a good relationship with a Rails of Sheffield and I intend to keep it that way 😊. I hope that Hornby will update their Class 60 with cab lights and update the model like they did for the HST. It is a good model and will be a hard one for anyone to beat.

Cavalex Models are already doing a 60 and if their 56 is anything to go by it will be a stonker!...now keep your beef with Cavalex in check please, don't want any unsubstantiated claims about their 56 ok.

@@BritishRail60062 You see that claim you made about the 56 is untrue, you just won't let it go will you as there was nothing wrong with the 56 driveline and your beef is because it is AIA-AIA configured but it has all-wheel pickups and can haul up to 30 wagons around a helix which has been proven.

Where have you been??? Cavalex Models only just released a new-tooled Class 56 that will probably end up being model of the year for 2024, I have four of them with sound so no Bachmann will not do the 56 and yes the detail & bogies on the Cavalex model are literally a million dollars!

Unfortunately they got thte bogies / wheelbase wrong. Just look at a side on photo versus a real photo, or the bachmann 69. Sorry, close but not right for me :( @@sapphirejunction8993

I am with you on this one mate. The Class 56 I had from Cavalex Models was a terrible runner and quite frankly was marketed on hyperbole in my honest opinion. I too am looking forward to seeing a Bachmann Class 56 and Class 60 in the future. I don't plan on touching Cavalex Models ever again and I am happy to have sold my Class 56 onwards and replaced it with Dapol Class 52.

The track gauge for OO was set decades ago and will likely never change. If you are wanting a more accurate gauge then you can convert OO items to either EM or P4. This is time consuming however the results are very pleasing. It is also highly unlikely that any manufacturers will ever produce RTR stock in P4 or EM.

Totally agree and great poit on the Class 69, where is it??? You think Bachmann would have gone after Cavalex Models and done the 56 to go with their 69.

Listening to the would be customers, not actual customers since you've not purchased it yet, isn't all that great of an idea for a model railway company as you can very easily be led astray into making things based on a few loud voices, its very hard go get a genuinely indicitive survey of what people might want. The customer is always right doesn't mean what most modellers seem to take it to mean, I'd suggest looking up what the saying means. The investment was already made before accurascale announced, the research began long ago to gather information needed for both this and the Farish tooling, no one is copying each other. I'd be just as well to say accurascale copied bachmann having seen them doing all the research for the farish one and guessed that an OO one was coming, however that would be speculation and disingenuous of me to put forward. Move on lads, its a thing, your bromance with accurascale may be hurt but they're not gonna stop making this 31 or magic up something instead no matter what you say. This is just karen behaviour.

You don't know how long Bachmann have been working on this Project possibly well before Accurascale announced their 31, street prices are competative with Accurascale.
