Mance & Shayne. Brandon needs a much more senior position at Hedera. He is easily the best communicator in the Hedera ecosystem. His interviews always flow well, he thinks well on his feet and has great credibility in front of senior management. He should be in a role responsible for Introducing new enterprises to Hedera.

Hedera have the best tech by far. Much more secure & fast & scalable then all others combined. Hope they understod this 2023 lesson and in 2024, they don't accept again, to someone to dump their own asset Hbar. We will see if in 2024 they will protected their asset Hbar. All the best Hbarians ✌️

Thanks for keeping us apprised throughout 2023, Brandon. This is a slow burn, but the tallest buildings require deep foundations. Contrary to the quick profits mentality of crypto, I've always felt enterprise will be most comfortable on Hedera, so having a three year horizon, as the world evolves its use cases and moves everyrhing onto new rails, should see Hedea claim a top five spot. My thesis on H Bar dominace is stronger than ever. Patience required.

Great interview, thank you gentlemen! Now I do want to ask something tho.. While the Hedera network saw a 10x growth in revenue, how come we as $HBAR stakers saw a 90% decline in staking rewards? I know they have implemented this dynamic staking solution, but this was put in place to bring back our staking rewards to the crypto market's ''norm'', which was around 4%. Now, we are earning less than 1% staking APR, while other networks are offering 4% and more in some. Shouldn't the staking account paying out these staking rewards grow as much (or replenish itself more if that makes sense)? If that's the case, then why are we still only earning sub 1% APR? Shouldn't the Dynamic solution give us more staking rewards as the staking account grows? Thank you once again! I wish all of you a merry Christmas, and a happy new year!

can someone answer a question ive seen below and how this wont limit hedera and cause it not to work out? "Furthermore, although Hedera boasts short finality times and high native tps that can be applied to these HTS/HCS functions, their virtual machine has basically hit its ceiling until they move away from the EVM (which they do not wish to do)" If they cant get off Etherium Virtual machine since hedera wont build its own it will NEVER be able to compete with the other coins and may never really rally.

I really don’t mind them taking it slow and steady. Hedera hasn’t been around that many years, give it until 2030 we would be in a very different environment. What we are seeing currently is already a lot of great progress. And, these real world applications is what ensures Hedera doesn’t go to zero. If it’s not going to zero, it’s going to a million as Michael Saylor would say.

Hedera, had amazing 2023 and this was very possible, but they chose to dump Hbar, or to ignore when they see someone do that. Just for Hbar, all 2023 was just pump & dump only and nothing else. Chart don't lie! Hedera have better tech and most secure & scalable than Solana and was right in position how Solana it's right now, with all market respect and all eyes on they. Hedera could be easy in top 10, but they lost all golden bullets and this amazing chance. Maybe, they understod this lesson. NEVER dumping, or accept to someone to dump, your own coin!

@@pauldumitru8002That dumping actively contributed to funding the ecosystem though. The money made from token releases doesn't just go into their pockets. They put the money back into the ecosystem. This is what they claim, at least. I'd much prefer we move towards max supply but than the middle of a bull run

I’d put Karate Combat up against Bonk any day of the week. I also think it will be interesting to see Solana really get tested. Avalanche just experienced a little taste. Hedera is being tested currently at a level we haven’t seen on these other networks. 🤞

I know exactly what you mean. The Hedera ecosystem is just depressing to use. Contrary to popular belief, the best tech does NOT always win (Dreamcast, Segway, BlackBerry, TiVo, MapQuest, Napster, NetScape, Alta Vista... and many, many more). Hedera needs more than Karate Combat and subsidized atma to achieve sufficient adoption and only sufficient adopttwill cause Hedera to outperform the market... which, so far, it has never once succeeded in doing. Mance has been saying the same vague things he said in this video: "cant rush this", "in the pipeline" etc for six years now.

We need community-run nodes and to expand the DeFi landscape that's built on Hedera. Solana and Cardano have more DeFi options, more on-ramps, and more globally-distributed trading pairs.

Its so annoying to hear them blow off retail like that. Retail is the reason anyone even knows about your coin buddu. You can continue to speak about all the real world use cases and institutions that are using HH but your tokens price doesnt follow. How much money have they given to institutions and projects? Retail investors carry that burden.

Hedera was designed for enterprise use, and if that's achieved them retails influence will be minimal. Also, not caring about retail is the rule, rather than the exception.

I understand the sentiment and yes they are very appreciative of the capital they have been able to attract, but he wasn’t referring to retail investment but focus on retail facing products like Karate Combat, Defi, and games. We have a lot of traction in those areas but they see more potential for network revenue from enterprise and institutional use cases.

@HederaForum if ignoring retail is the rule, rather than the exception, then what is your purpose? Why does Hedera continue to market HBAR to retail when they've made it LOUD and CLEAR they don't care about us? They give us zero guidance, "Oh, our pipeline" or "oh, we're solving real world problems with a massive company." If Swirlds was a public company, this would never fly. Edit: The more I think about it, the fact they don't give a damn about retail and treat us like shit is kind of bullish.

I wonder if the token distributions will slow as revenue increases? I know $300k didn’t cover operating costs, and I doubt $4mil covered everything, but if they care about revenue and the treasury is the primary source, that means retail is the primary source of income. Thats not good. 2nd, what marketing? They’ve been atrocious with a complete lack of competent marketing. Everyone knows this, and they can’t a knowledge that fact.

Ultimately all chains have to be sustainable. The regulatory front is holding us back big time especially with what Elizabeth Warren did recently with her ne proposed bill to basically ban crypto. You understand the industry is handy capped. It can’t grow in the US until that changes and it may be few more years.

So 5 years ago there was no council, see what has been built there! We were not yet at open access so no throughput, now over 3k tps sustained for hundreds of applications. It’s a lot of progress.

@@HederaForumOh there's been progress...just not in the areas that really, truly matter (adoption and financial sustainability). The GC is a neat idea but so far they're little more than representatives charged with governing a protocol that virtually nobody uses. People act like Hedera now has the might of the GC behind them, but they're just company reps. Google and the rest of the GC won't lose any sleep if Hedera fails to go anywhere and they absolutely won't intervene financially to rescue Hedera if something goes wrong. Going open source was just Hedera catching up to where almost every other crypto is innately. And, as we've discussed before, the only significant TPS come from Atma who simply has their Hbar given to them which means it doesn't provide appreciation pressure the same way organic transactions would. To be fair it does still contribute via HCS gas fees. So it is better than nothing don't get me wrong.

The Foundation marked the greatest decline in onboarding council members, attendance at monthly meetings, and price. They crippled Hedera and HBAR. The Foundation sat on its hands for months before it had its first meeting.

@@michaelmmcintyre You’re statement ignores that the entire altcoin complex was down similar to HBAR since the launch of the foundation, and of course The Foundation’s only part in the addition of council members is as one of a few who work to recruit them. And arguably they are responsible for the largest council member addition during this time. Dell.
