Hello and Kuzuzangpo la world. Warm greetings from Bhutan. We wish folks around the world lots of happiness and peace. We love to see you all visiting Bhutan to bask in and breath clean air from pristine Himalayas.
His excellency has provided very natural and honest interview about importance of relationship among the two giant neighbors, the incredible rationals of being carbon negative country, and major revolution in the Bhutanese education system. He was so eloquent and spontaneous in English, and really appreciated his dexterity.
It's first time that I hear from Dr. Lotay Tshering, the prime Minister of Bhutan. He looks a sharp person and very articulate in English. Bhutan is a small country and its population is extremely small. It's very beautiful, clean and the forest-cover is high and carbon negative. The last two are gift of nature that the Bhutanese should be credited for taking care of these gifts of nature. The prime is wise with a sense of modesty to acknowledges as such and refrain from boasting about things a great deal. ( A sense of modesty is rare among world leaders today, especially those from third world.) Bhutan somehow escaped the consequence of the British India power push towards the Himalayas in late 19th. and early 20th. centuries as British strategy of power game with east- ward expansion of the Russian power. The Kingdom of Dejung-more popularly known as Sikkim- suffered badly for losing major portion of its territory to the British India, and Bod-Tibet -was shaked badly with the British occupation force reaching Lhasa in 1904.The 13 th. Dalai Lama had to escape to Mongolia. But Druk, Bhutan- manage to remain unaffected in real terms when its brotherly neighbours were in deep trouble in those times. With full occupation of Tibet by the communist China in 1959 the seeds of potential trouble for Bhutan were sown. A decade or so before the prime minister or His Magist King of Bhutan would, all likelihood, say how kind and understanding India had been😊 to Bhutan as it's giant neighbour. Perhaps Bhutan wished to mention America but because of India's sensitivity..... Today the fact that Prime Lotay Tshering has to include China as Bhutan's friendly northern neighbour indicates that seed sown in 1959 is becoming closer for germination. A kind of Shangrila Bhutan is today geopolitically disadvantageously positioned. I as a Tibetan refugee know how difficult to do tight rope walking when you are sandwiched between big powers. (One of them here is also very dirty) The Prime Minister lotay did tight rope walking very skillfully this time and I wish him and Bhutan good luck in times to come!!.
You don't even know the name of our Prime Minister by the end of the conversation. I don't like the way you ask questions, though the answers given were very diplomatic and nicely said. HE name is not Tshering Loday.
Firstly get your fact straight. For every action there is an equal reaction. So ask what action led to such reaction. You should ask why this small section of Nepalese decided to go against the nation? Why did they protest and forced others to do so. Why did they burn the national dresses and and beat those who was not willing to get in this anti-nationalism propaganda? Why? Know what caused it and then make comments. I'm just tired of people asking this questions. Also the fact that there are still thousands of Nepalese residing in Bhutan is a prove that those that left was because they left on their own accord (mostly) and some because they were guilty of such anti-nationalistic activities. And now they whine like some spoiled kids. I understand there were hardships in refugee camps and being a vagabond with no country to call their own but don't blatantly blame the Bhutanese government, when you are responsible for your state. The government did to protect the country's sovereignty like any other country would.
When the tenants to which you have been renting your property decides to get hold of the property's ownership, no sensible owner would just watch and do nothing. They would fight back and perhaps chase you out. That's it
Amazing. A country that is 128 in 188 of World Bank, has such a high ranking in Transparency Index (49 in 188) and even higher ranking in Global Peace Index (40 in 188). I wish I could import their leaders to my country IRAN. ❤❤❤
It is India and its culture that did not gobble Bhutan but see Tibet . Indis spends a lot of fund to keep Bhutan also happy . No visa nothing is required , all trades are done through India . Security is looked after by India higher education etc. But now Indians are asked to pay Rs 1200 daily ,as sustainable fees Rs 1500 compulsory for tourists guide are this measures friendly or unfriendly, people can see . The Doklam issue agreement done with China without India's knowledge. Nepal too became too close to China and is now subject to internal interference through their Nepalese communist party .
@@托尼带水-i4x Bhutan Is independent they were independent, Indian govt policies wasn't like to occupy and capture other lands by forcefully or I should by stabbing, like china did with India in 1962 .
China is called a dragon and Bhutan has a dragon flag. China has a lot of Buddhism and bhutan majority Buddhism. I think bhutan seen india is more aggressive to bhutan rather than China. Bhutan nepal need china to balance india influenced. China rilex has a friends from central asian.
Wow what a logic? Then shouldn't forget Buddhism originated from India another thing was Dhoklam Thing caused by India? Is it India that give Loans after loans to Asian countries to make them fall into debt trap? Do you know the Percentage of Loan interest they give? Don't try to sell your propaganda no one is here to fooled by you if you had some shame I would like point at Tibet it was India's fault that didn't try to Fight against Chinese Invaders that time to save a peaceful Neighbour now don't want to another of their neighbour get into Chinese trap.
Ask him about the atrocities, torture, Rapee, and Ethnic cleansing of 100,000 Southern Bhutanese Hindus from bhutan in the name of saving bhutan culture.
no need to cry here😄. no one going to listen to you. your current situation is a result of "Burning National Flag" and going against tsa-wa-sum and monarchy. Keep dreaming. Palden Drukpa Gyelo!
Sad but brutal truth, you should be happy that citizens of Bhutan wherever they are, are living a happy life now. instead of revolting like TekNath Rizal did before, just change a way to approach, so that may be you can come back to your motherland.
He knows that some Hindus are in indian jail, some Muslims are in jail in Muslim nation, some Christians are in jail in Christian nation so I guess SOME Hindus deserved to be chased out of bhutan just like when some ULFA(hindu) were also chased out of bhutan on indias request.
Ur regime had forcefully extradited 100 thousand Nepali speaking people from South Bhutan under the ethnic clinging who had a great contribution to make Bhutan what it is today but u people made their lives miserable as refugees. So, u have no right to talk abt happiness indicator in foreign media? I condemn u as a PM n ur regime. From Nepal.
