@@tayallday26 There's nothing to see. Adams already said what happened. Arizona wanted our prospects and not our draft picks. Arizona was willing to accept Ottawa's draft picks but not ours. It wouldn't have been worth it to trade for Savoie or Kulich, etc.
The upper brass in Buffalo truly seem like a nice bunch. That trickle down can be seen in the way the club plays. A little help on the defensive side and some improved goaltending and the Sabres will be golden!
Wish playoffs were more important to get to right now, but I get the plan, and trust that the playoffs WILL be extremely important next year. No more cap floor. No more bare minimum depth adds.
One good thing about the Greenway trade is, even if he doesn't work out as well as they want and doesn't fix his offensive game and other holes, he's still a great defensive and physical forward with size which is what the team needed in the bottom 6 and for when players such as Olofsson are most likely gone next season. It was an overpayment and especially with that contract though so I can't call it a great trade. Hopefully, he skates well and has good chemistry.
@CWS and TKP 66-02 so the team is playing poorly, but you are going to blame it on one player and think one player can magically fix all of their issues, especially when the goaltending is trash? this is a ridiculous take and to bring up his injury as if it is his fault. pretending like the team was not already starting to play poorly again before he and stillman arrived too is the nice cherry on top of this awful comment. he has done great defensively if you actually look at analytics. +/- is a useless statistic. he was on a line with garbage defensive forwards and the goalies let in like ten goals in those games he played. that is not his fault. having one point in eight games does not mean much of anything when you are supposed to mainly be a defensive and physical forward and when you are still adjusting to a new team. he has done perfectly fine. one depth player cannot fix an entire core.
@CWS and TKP 66-02 Why are you acting like Cole said this move was amazing or it was going to be a definite win? What he clearly stated is that the biggest positive about this deal is how he's still good defensively, even if he doesn't put up offense, which he has been and it's what that team needed. Nothing has changed. He literally said the trade wasn't great, because it was an overpayment and he has too big of a cap hit, so why you're acting like he said the trade's fantastic or something with this reply is beyond me. Why you're bringing Stillman up too is odd when he never mentioned him and when Stillman has done perfectly fine so far. He isn't supposed to be great or a permanent option unless he ends up fitting well. Could be traded in the offseason. He's just supposed to be a better replacement than Bryson and a trade that makes it so they have an extra contract spot by 2024 for other ELCs since they needed to make room and since they lost hope in Bloom's development progress. He has done exactly that
Ya he has no value lol . He’d be moved for future considerations which isn’t even a bag of pucks . He’s better staying out and basically being a emergency D-man for us .
@@realdealprimer Levi also hasn’t played a single game in the NHL, who knows what he will be above the college level. (I think he will be good, but the 1% case isn’t a strong argument)
This guy (Kevyn Adams) is nothing but hot air. He has convinced Terry Pegula that you don't have to win now. Terry needs to tell Kevyn and Don win now or you are gone. Another year of futility!!!!! When you give up as many goals as you score, you are not going to win. We need four defensive defensemen and two goalies ready to play NOW! There is NO sense of urgency. Oh "we are going to develop players" says Kevyn. Then cut the prices of tickets then or even better the fans should STOP going to the games. Come on, let's go Sabres.........NOW!
@@cLecIerc That and if they waived Asplund to send him to Rochester, he would have gotten claimed anyways. So any pick no matter how late was a win at that point.
