Wow, the inlay Sterling Kachina with pieces that turn into jewelry was a standout piece of artistry! Every treasure in this estate screams of quality, what an impressive home!!
Dear Lady Mary Beth, we are enjoying your presentation as always. Please note that the first Chinese jade animal is a Qilin (a creature with dragon-like features and cloven hooves).
Wow!! So many beautiful pieces. Love all the gold pieces in the cabinet that I've never seen before. I enjoyed the bit you shared in this video about rugs but would be interested in learning more. Thank you, Mary Beth.
The owners certainly had EXQUISITE TASTE. Such a collection of truly fabulous art, carpets, crystal, glass, furniture and the wonderful Grandfather clock. You were perfectly placed to preview the remarkable collection as I consider you to be a woman with an eye for quality in all these areas! 😊Thank You for bringing us all along.
They have truly enjoyed each of these treasures over the years. Their adult children were given the opportunity to keep the family heirlooms. Though, most are in the sale.
The best estate sale ever! So many beautiful Chinese and Japanese finds. I want everything! The Rose Point glasses would make a perfect marriage with the gold plates etc. All of these would dress a table for a sumptuous Chinese meal. Ohhh, that jade!! And the Chinese furniture! I am working with a Chinese tea company at the moment so very much in the ‘zone’! X
The lady of the house was adding commentary as I filmed the gold flatware. She mentioned how it looks lovely with her placemats and china. Sad for her to give it all up, but travel is a grand adventure. How neat that you are working with a Chinese tea company. What a life you live!
@@LadyMaryBeth haha! Yes, tea and cake. You mentioned that these folks had bases around the world. Just like you! Homes in both Germany and Texas and a room with en-suite in London😊 But, what an apartment! I would buy the apartment and everything in it - don’t sell a thing. I loved that video x
Thx for sharing! I checked the auction and seems they are asking retail prices on some of the items. If I wanted to pay retail I surely wouldn’t buy secondhand. But that’s just me
@@LadyMaryBeth I went to an antique show Saturday on the NC coast. I had sticker shock at the outrageously high prices. Lots of vendors came from Florida. I left without a thing and was so disappointed. It’s back to the thrift stores and estate sales for me.
That was an interesting collection to see ! Thanks for sharing the front of the line peek and sharing your knowledge. I always learn something from you 🌸
Thank you! The black willow jewelry pieces from China Baroque are my new favorite. Goes with everything. Working on a Blue Willow custom pendant and bracelet.
