She had some bright spots in her life as well as tragic; when her son Sean was born, and gossip swirled a dark speculative cloud about who his father actually was, John Astin stepped up and adopted, protected, and raised him all the way, ending that ugly feast of the vultures- know this folks, that’s what *real* MAN does for a child, he’s got my respect!
She suffered so much in her youth not knowing what it was she was dealing with, and then again at the end of her life. She helped so many millions of people in her telling about her mental illness. I wish she hadn't suffered physically as much at the end. I adored her in watching her series (1963-66) as a teen. She was one of the few influential people in my age range on television, in portraying an average teen. She could sing, act in both drama or comedy, and even won $32,000 (2nd highest) prize in 1959, at only 12, on "The $64,000 Question" quiz show. Her category was popular music. What couldn't she do? I'll never forget her and her series. R.I.P. forever, dear lady.
When I was 18 I had a door-to-door sales job and knocked on Patty's door in northern Idaho. I didn't actually know who she was, but my mom was impressed when I told her that night!
Anna had a beautiful soul and she was beautiful on the outside. Everything she went through, I couldn't imagine what it was like for her. Myself, I have always adored her, being it Patty Duke or Anna she was bigger than life itself. May she Rest in Peace now in the House of Our Lord and Savior ~ Love you Anna.....Your be missed and know that you were loved and still are...
Thank you Patty always classy always strong RIP 😞🌹🌹🌹❤️❤️❤️❤️I suffer, too from this heartbreak it's not fair. But you don't get what you want when your born, you just get who you are.
R.I.P dear Patty ,you will be sadly missed.Thankyou for all the pleasure you brought us with your various roles.Despite your constant battle ,you made each character come to life.God Bless you and keep you safely ,always .
She was a Warrior -- more than we know--- those waves of anguish were very real and Patti suffered much.. RIP Miss Patty.. The truth is known and those who sent you pain are suffering now.
Always loved Patty and always will. She was an icon to teen girls in the 60’s, and always a wonderful actress. RIP Patty - you are greatly missed!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻
I've known Patty since 1988 when I first watched her show The Patty Duke Show on Nick At Nite. Her son Sean looks just like her. RIP to her.even I know it's been nearly two years since her departure from this life.
Patty Duke's passing really upset my fiancée. I remember it clearly yet there was barely any time for her to mourn this icon of her youth when she died from something quite similar herself. Just six days later. My sweetheart had been struggling with infections and blood clots as side-effects from cancer surgery several years prior. I remember my fiancée gasped when she learned that Patty Duke had died from a septic condition and in retrospect it must have been the realization of her own plight sweeping over her that elicited such a response. A few years before all of this transpired my sweetie and I watched a Patty Duke Show retrospective in the depths of winter while going down memory lane recalling the show from our youth.
I too have bipolar disorder. I just found out that Patty duke also had it. Rough illness. I admired Patty duke ha r acting was superb. Used to watch the party duke show all the time. A well respected actress. May she rest in peace 💔
I did not know Sean Astin mother was Patty Duke 🤔 she passed away way too young. No wonder Sean Astin didn't let Hollywood consumed him with drugs or alcohol because his mom raised him right especially raised him through a good Christian faith background. Sean is not shame office faith in Jesus Christ his Lord and Savior and also mine too. I like the movie where she plays in the movie is called a Christmas memories...✍️✝️❤️🕊️🇺🇲🇮🇱 PS believe on the name of Jesus Christ and you shall be saved put your faith in Jesus Christ and faith alone and not by your good works it's a free gift from God. The Lord's love is beyond anything that we can imagine and the Lord gives us love letters and flowers to us every day but some people keep rejecting it. The Lord Jesus is waiting on the other side of the door and he is knocking waiting for you to open it.
