I really appreciate this stripped down performance. I saw her in Philly two years ago and it was a little over the top (lots happening on stage, too much glam).

This version is so so...but the Masseduction album is *_genius._* I miss the live band....but, I think Annie is one of the most creative and interesting songwriters alive. Also...I find it quite amusing that people either seem to *ADORE* her music(I'm one of those people)....or totally don't get it and have a visceral negative reaction. That's the sign of a truly relevant and interesting artist imo....someone who engenders extreme reactions, both extremely positive _and_ negative. The worst thing that could happen to an artist is to have most people say "yeah, it's alright. i like it ok."

This doesn't deserve the hate. Slow it down a bit and I feel she could be an old-timey singer.

I really enjoyed her sound. It's just different enough to be original. I look forward to seeing her do this with a backup band which from the comments I"m reading is on The Late Show W/Stephen Colbert and is better then this performance.. Thanks.. :) Quick update.
