Alright folks. This is a big one right here. To me, it’s one less on the bucket list of cars that I’d like to shoot and feature on the Auditography profile. I told you earlier this year, that my plan is to shoot unique Audi concept cars from throughout the years, and take them out of the museums and out of the roads and do a proper Auditography shoot. We did the RS6 GTO some months ago, and now it’s time for another one. And this is one of the most famous Audi concepts of all time. In 2015, the TT Clubsport Turbo concept was presented just before the popular Worthersee meet in Austria. It was still times before the regulations, soft limiters, opf filters, fake exhausts and all that we have to get used now. Imagine it was ”only” 6 years ago and oh my have the times changed. This TT had something Audi has developed back then, and were very proud of: the electric BiTurbo charger. It had that glorious 5cylinder engine and pushed an insane 600hp, and was also stripped and lost lots of weight.
Since the day I saw that car, I fell so in love with it. It was so incredibly wide and had a huge wing, to pay homage to the 90 IMSA quattro from the late 80s. And it had that glorious 5cyl engine and a manual 6 speed gearbox. I guess also many people remember when JP Performance was climbing the Pikes Peak with this concept car and then the S1 Pikes Peak came up in his rear view mirror? One of the coolest Audi moments last decade.
So, a few months ago I started to plan this. And I want to thank everyone at Audi that made this possible. You know who you are. Thank you for letting me shoot the car, and show it to the fans and my followers.
