We are glad you appreciate all of Shawn's hard work! As a reward, we will make sure to give him an extra ration of gruel next time we let him out of his editing dungeon. 😉
This is the way to do a company ran comic book RU-vid channel. Ya’ll got me hyped on all the new titles and I’m preordering the novels too. Keep up the good work. The big 2 could learn from this.
Just read issue eleven... sooo good!!! This series is the best since the old Buscema days! Incredibly happy to be following Zub and De La Torre through this adventure
Awesome initiative to promote Conan franchise to a wider audience and build an awesome community. Would like to see lore videos on the nations of Hyboria. There are many contradictory information about these nations and what cultures they are loosely based on. For example someone depicts Nemedia as an Germanic Holy Roman Empire like culture, and others as a straight Caesar's Roman Empire etc.
Jeff beat us to it but you're right. Our upcoming video about the Hyborian age will give brief intros to all the major kingdoms and we definitely plan to do individual videos on all the Hyborian age nations eventually to give them the depth they deserve!
Hearing that the Omnibus is finally going to be printed again is amazing. I bought 4,5, and 6 so far then saw that number one can range up to 800 or more. That's just not something I can ever do. Now I just need to figure out when these will be on the market and I'll buy all of them as they come out.
I really look forward to see some of the expanded Howardverse characters- getting the other characters into some mini-series/whatever not constrained into a crossover would be great!
The Battle of the Black Stone mini-series should be starting in September, with Savage Sword of Conan #4, the tie-in issue of the black & white magazine, arriving in August.
Anxiously awaiting issue #12 of Conan, issue #3 of Savage Sword and John C Hocking's "Conan: City of the Dead." June is going to be full of Hyborian goodness by Crom!
Indeed it shall be, there's also Podcast interviews with John C Hocking and Christy Marx as well as a new Lore video coming your way! Thanks for your support comrade.
The mini series itself will be 4 issues but there will be a special issue of Savage sword of Conan that will lead into the miniseries giving backstory for all the other characters involved!
He's great! Many consider him to be one of the best Conan pastiche writers! Hocking is a true fan of Weird Tales and the pulp of the Howard era! Stay tuned for a full-length podcast interview with him soon!
Are they going to start doing a king Conan? I really hope they will. I had stopped reading for decades.. I’ve heard such good things about what you guys are doing now I’ve come back. I really hope you guys will bring us a king Conan title. And why not a king kull title as well? And if you guys ever get the opportunity to get your hands on red Sonia. And bring her back to her original. ( marvel comics origin.) I would love to see that happen and I would be buying every issue you put out.
Sweet! Interview with Christy Marx forthcoming - she made my favorite pair of computer games, Conquests of Camelot and Conquests of the Longbow. I haven't watched her Conan for kids show, which is probably more what your talking to her about...fingers crossed she could be a writer on future publications, I'd like to see how she'd handle a true Howard pastiche, though it maybe requires a little more faithfulness to canon then King Arthur/Robin Hood stories.
Glad to hear you're a fan! Christy is amazing and the interview is a lot of fun, she sheds light on the creation of the animated series as well as her time working on the original Savage Sword comics.
@@conanthebarbarianofficial I didn't know she was on the original Savage Sword - long before I got into the Howard - that's something to be on the look for. I'm sure I'll try the animated show once I'm through the all the original stories, don't know if if that'll make it easier or harder to enjoy - probably would have loved it if my local network had it when it came out.
I love that He-Man was born from a failed Conan animated series and now Conan is facing his own skull faced Skeletor. And there´s a magic sword too! Oh yes, everything is coming together... Now, jokes aside, i feel that there was a need for this kind of stories. All those isekai animes are more D&D oriented but there was not many sword and sorcery stuff around. Now there´s Planegea, a new D&D setting more stone age oriented and also the success Primal had, all those things made very clear we were all looking for an axe/sword wielding barbarian and there´s no other better than Conan!
Chainmail! I'm beyond excited to see more of Dark Agnes. Absolutely fell in love with her after her brief appearance in Marvel. Will we be seeing any solo adventures with REH's more obscure characters like Agnes and Costigan?
CHAINMAIL Will any upcoming stories or series give more of an in-depth look into the magic and sorcery of the Hyborian Age, a little more of a peek into details of its cults, sects or magic systems?
The stories in City of the Dead are actually a great focus on the sorcery of the Hyborian Age! Hocking said he was really inspired by the People of the Black Circle and wanted to tell some stories that really focused on dark magic!
@@conanthebarbarianofficial I will definitely check it out then! I like seeing more details of the Hyborian Age, brings the world to life much more, makes it more immersive, realistic, like if you were to go there you would know a little of how it actually functions. That's a big draw for me. Thanks for the reply.
Chainmail: By Crom, no way would I waste a chance to be immortalized in the epic chainmail of Conan The Barbarian! Do you guys plan on adapting some of Robert E Howard's unfinished Conan stories in the current or on a later run, with new changes/endings to make them a satisfying read? Thanks for the amazing work!
It is really up to what Jim wants to write! We try to let our artists and authors work on what they are passionate about. We provide guidance and direction but we try to leave it up to them so they enjoy the work they are doing to give us the best Conan stories posible. That being said, your idea is a good one and we think it is definitely something interesting to explore.
CHAINMAIL....Is there any chance that when the new comic comes out, you could space all the comics release dates out so we're not waiting a month (longer in the UK!) without our fix??!
Agreed, all of us at HS hold the Dark Horse era of Conan in high esteem! We plan to reprint them in the future, but we're currently focused on the classics so don't expect it anytime soon.
@@conanthebarbarianofficial All good things come in time! No rush. I’ve been very excited and pleased with how you guys have handled the IP. Keep it up!
@@SunnySide388 Apologies! That response was not intended for you. To answer your question - unfortunately there have been delays with printing, we don't have specifics as to why but can assure you that Titan is working on it.
@@conanthebarbarianofficial thank you! I really appreciate the response and really love what you guys are doing with the channel! I'm relieved to hear that the Savage sword of Conan omnibus are still coming out.
We are spinning up a robust omnibus and collections program with Titan and we will definitely get to the Dark Horse comics as well! It just takes us a bit of time to get things rolling so please be patient with us!
CHAINMAIL: Heya! I know it is a little early in the game, but do you guys have any plans for publishing the Dark Horse runs in omnibus form in the future?
Is Heroic Signatures planning to sell a compilation of The Heroic Legends stories from authors like Hocking, Oden, etc. in print? Looks like there are seven right now. I’m old school, don’t have Kindle, and would love to have these in hard copy on my shelves. Please pass this question along and let me know if you have a chance. Thanks!
Please put this on chain mail. Will they do a king Conan title? And why can’t they do a king kull title as well? is there any chance you may attempt to get red Sonia right? I really wish you could. I would love to see her crossover with Conan again.
We do not own Red Sonja so you will not see any content about her from us but everything else you mentioned is a real possiblity!

CHAINMAIL: While Conan Exiles is an awesome game, are there any plans for a single-player Conan game? It's been a long while since we've been able to play the part of the Cimmerian, the last single player game that let you play as him came out in 2007.
Our team is always working to try and get a new Conan game made. Like with movies, games long and expensive pieces of media and we need to find partners who can do Conan justice! However, we want to let you know we agree with you and we are always working on trying to make more Conan games happen. 💪 P.S - Stay tuned to this channel, we have a video with Joel Bylos (Conan Exiles) that will peak your interest on this subject. 😉
CHAINMAIL! Heroic Signatures is doing an awesome job with new robert e howard comics and stories, but are there any new plans for these characters in other mediums? Board games?... Video games?... TV???
Yes definitely! We are always working on more media that will be coming down the line. But at the moment we suggest you check out the amazing Conan boardgame by Monolith (they will be releasing an RPG this year too), Funcom has made several videogames and Conan Exiles has more players now than ever before!
@conanthebarbarianofficial I'm an original backer of the first Conan board game Kickstarter and own everything printed to date. Super keen for the red nails expansion. Conan exiles is great, I'm also a big fan of Conan unconquered.
CHAINMAIL - Can you possibly bless the rains down in Hyboria? On a more serious note -CHAINMAIL - I've no clue how licensing works, but down the road will you or would you be willing to partner up with someone to make Conan merch such as jewelry? Like a wheel of pain necklace or some sort of Aquilonian ring etc?
@@conanthebarbarianofficial Ah I don't know any personally. Though I've seen a few vendors on etsy that make pretty cool stuff but not sure if they would/could scale up their output. Just holding out hope one day some cool good quality stuff will get made.
Heroic Signatures has no plans to include Red Sonja as the rights are with a different company. Perhaps, in time you will be introduced to Robert E. Howard's Red Sonya of Rogatino, the character that Red Sonja is based on!
I'm less of a purist when it comes to comics (I mean, Buscema did a wondrous job with the scripts he was given), but Barry Smith always irked me because of the far too obvious influence of jack kirby on his work, which just didn't fit in... oh, and I'll still send to hell any writer that puts conan and thulsa doom together.
