Most all of the below comments are so hateful. Why? Why don't we address more relevant concerns like the severe and illegal torture of inmates, and the fact that probably the majority of those are innocent. Most muslims are wonderful people.

Mark, we are better than terrorists (I think) and don't randomly kill - or shouldn't - innocent people until proven guilty in a court of law; that is the U.S. law last time I checked, then there is the UN law that we agreed to. Until we change it accordingly, the U.S. govt. is criminal in its treatment of prisoners and guilty of multiple violations of international law. Then there is the CIA. Thou shall not kill; it's God's law too. What is your opinion?

I don’t think high level prisoners get much sympathy. That’s assuming the judicial system did an honest and thorough job.. Most people in this prison aren’t foreign journalists.. also, you made the choice as a white english women to leave safety and head into a middle eastern war zone. And yes, there will be rules when FILMING in America’s highest level security prison. At least you prefaced your biases. Seems like you got more out of your visit there than any of us will from watching this.

This is not a prison. There are no prisoners. This is a detention camp. Prisoners are convicted of crimes and serve sentences that have an end date. These men detained here do not have trials. Nor are they accused of crimes. They do not see judges. They have no lawyers. It’s not a prison.

The way that man described the impact of solitary confinement and isolation was a toned down TV friendly description of the torturous, inhumane and down right cruel treatment of the people held here. The Muslim world has every right and reason to hate you and I for being American's! But in no way does that mean the United States (You and I) deserve to live in fear of what the enemy (any enemy just to clarify) may or may not do when you and I see such treatment of people. I was in solitary confinement and isolation in a U.S. Prison in New York and I will never be the same person ever again. By that I mean the general quality of life one may have had, had they not literally died inside! I am already dead and awaiting the body too catch up.

She seems like a terrorist sympathizer to me. Just like any prison whether it's in America or any other country 99.9% are guilty and this is no exception. Most of these prisoners have blood on their hands either directly or indirectly and should all be prosecuted and since their own countries don't have the facilities than someone needs to detain them until they are rehabilitated or transferred to another prison somewhere else. In some situations, aggressive interrogation might be useful, but there is a limit, and without 110% knowledge someone is guilty this place shouldn't have even been an option. I'm torn, the ones that are deserving of this don't even deserve the facilities there, but the ones who are innocent have been robbed of parts of their lives by what can only be described as barbaric

“Aggressive interrogation” will get false information from innocent people as much as it gets real information from guilty people. If you’re 110% sure someone is guilty, you don’t need aggressive interrogation.

I don’t feel bad, they always say they are not guilty, the system is bad, well then why did they get into this system? You don’t go to Guantanamo without them having evidence. @@ammarally3055 I am quite sure that a guard can not say if someone is guilty or not, since a guard is there to look for the security, safety and that the inmates don’t break out. Also a guards job is to make sure, that the inmates don’t riot. So how shall he know, what happened outside the bars? How shall he know, who is guilty and not? A Guard doesn’t have all the documents which a judge has, he doesn’t see the evidence, since it’s not his job. A Guard get‘s informed how long someone must stay, that’s it, mostly that way, cause they don’t want Guards to treat inmates differently.

Wonder how eastern jails treat western prisoners of war crimes. I'd like to compare the two, feel that would be accurate journalism. This reporter admits that when she was questioned in Afghanistan, she was absolutely terrified. Globally we are hard on outsiders accused of treason. Doesn't make it exclusive. Or right. I can’t believe that I am paying taxes for this! I understand now why our country is bombed, we deserve it and I would rather die then support what they are doing to these poor human beings. Matt Stryker there are good people there to that are caring and kind. It is easy to be lead down the wrong why of thinking, but with this going on I don’t think the people that think that way is thinking wrong and I understand why they do what they do. You can’t be one sided and only see what you want to see. There are always multiple points of view in life and to understand the hole point of view you can’t be bias. Unpopular opinion: I agree with the prison and the treatment and conditions at the facilities. However. Everyone has the right to a fair trial and I believe only the most extreme criminals (terrorists/war leaders) should be kept here.

I'm sry, can't give a +1 on that but I agree with you. They just seem to think they can do things under 'color of law' that is not right. If the individual is an enemy of state, kill him. Extended imprisonment and torture is wrong. It's got historic precedent, though... tower of london, dungeons, Oz, Devil's Island, Guyana,, and I cannot think of the French word for imprisonment in a place of solace... oubliette. That's the French word. Wikipedia has a redirect that sends you to dungeon, and explains it a little bit. I was once told that in the US, the first 'penitentiaries' were run by quakers. It was a place the convicts could do penance and pray for forgiveness. That's just not gonna work with those who may have a different belief system! rc
