If you think about it..this video is by far, the most creative, artistic, conceptual, content ever produced by any youtube fisherman ever. I fish chickamauga and hiwassee, east TN. Wish I could get more into flathead fishing. This last week has been rough fishing. Got skunked twice and a giant softshell turtle. You ain't gotta explain to me.

Man what a pretty day when you caught that Big Catfish and that Elm tree.. At least you got it in and were able to clean it up and let it go. Not embarrising... I use a float w a Bluegill all the time for Bass & Pike. I'll have to try it next time I am fishing for those dagblasted Channel Catfish. Maybe, I'll catch a decent Flathead. But, until then I can't call myself Flathead Frank. Not sure if I want to catch a monster Flathead or just start out w a smaller Flathead & put in the time to catch a monster. With my luck my GF will catch the big one & I'll be ok with that. Where I fish in Mi. someone said the river is full of farm animals. Dagblasted Drum(Sheepshead)! You could fill up the bed of a pickup truck w Drum, fishing in the Saginaw River. They are getting fat eating invasive Zebra Mussels. A 6 Lb Drum is the biggest so far that my buddy caught. Dagblasted rain this morning on vacation. Going to have to try & get out early tomorrow. I am a long way away from my Catfish river. But, I might put in the time to catch a Northern Pike or if I am really lucky a Tiger Muskie. Maybe the rain washed all the loose vegetation away above a small dam & I can go night fishing after a white bellied mystery fish, that got away twice in one night on me a few years ago.

haha all my days are like this. Also I pick up crap all day long when I'm fishing, line, lures, floats, more line, pop bottles, it's amazing , people just drop their shit everywhere. It irritates me to death. So those were some nice cats in my book. I know you catch bunches of big ones but I'd be happy with any of those. Course I'm not Catfish Dave.

Dave you need a SHIT HOOK, I have one in the bed of my truck, a long handle with a 1/4” rod cemented in (J B Weld) with a hook bent in the end. I use mine just about every time I have stuff in the back, be handy for reaching line, float or hung up fish without having to wade or swim to bail your ass out.
close to the bottom..they will drift back until they hit the bottom but the bait will get active and swim out deeper..I like the bait being able to swim around and cover an area..sends more signals to the big fish
I weigh them down sometimes..I usually run my flathead live baits closer to the bank and the floats let the bait move around more and be more lively and also keeps me from getting hung up as much..I use them in slack water back creeks..they are a pain in current
I hate when people do that s*** mr. Dave it pisses me the hell off and one day I was fishing and I had to pick up roughly about a hundred a hundred fifty yards of line that someone left behind I guess respooling they're fishing reel and about an hour later or so here comes a bunch of people fishing and out of maybe 15 people here comes this idiot taking is fishing line off his fishing reel to respool there at the lake and he goes on about his business and leave the line on the floor on the ground then about an hour or two later somewhere around that time frame I see him make a b line to the restroom and everybody else was fishing around the cove and I grabbed all that line and wrapped it around his fishing rods and reels and tight like six or seven of his fishing rods with that same line and I made knots so darn fast and I grabbed my two fishing rods because I was already finish fishing there at that spot after all those people got there and I got my stuff and just three behind my truck got in my truck and proceeded to take off and I got down about 50 yards away when I seen this guy come out the bathroom I came to the stop sign he got to his chair looked around threw his hat on the ground kicked his fishing gear box rip t-shirt office torso and looked around with his hands balled up ready to hit something or somebody and then he look in my direction I made a left hand turn we made eye contact and all I did was smile at him hopefully I taught that sumbitch a lesson in excuse my language but he had to go through hell and back five times to do all that fishing line that I wrapped around his real and fishing lines and rods because I did like a 10-minute work in about 2 minutes I mean I even wrapped the line honest open face reels and made knots I mean I completely sabotage his whole fishing equipment that he was using as he was fishing I did like 20 turns and 10 knots on each rod and reel data open face on it and they're all open face fishing rod reels and then on the handles I tied knots and basically I tried all of his rods together and his fishing lines and just wrapped everything and one big bundle and I know it had to take him at least at the very minimum a good an hour straight non-stop to unravel the Maze of wraps of fishing line that I put on his fishing gear and I hope that person is one of your subscribers because this happen at Lake Tawakoni in Texas and if he reads this comment he's going to know I'm the one that did it maybe he'll clean up after himself and stop leaving fishing line on the ground like that because that's what happened to you your face got all tangled up on there your fishing line your gear and it pisses people off so hopefully I taught this idiot a harsh lesson and he will never do that again and to be honest with you I ripped that open face reel I took that metal I pulled it back I ripped it off his grill bent it twisted on every single one of them so he didn't finish that day unless he had more fishing rods and reels in his vehicle so yes it cost him financially and to be honest they were all Abu Garcia rods and reels and they cost a pretty penny I was so damn mad because that same scenario had happened to me like 10 times before and to see the person actually doing it and leaving it there and not caring that was a No-No to me because of turtle could have came out that water and got tangled up in the fishing line and easily could have killed a turtle and people might say was just a turtle know it's not just a turtle it's a living breathing thing if I could protect a turtle from a human being being that negligent then so be it that's exactly what I'm going to do whether you like it or not I don't care

You should use a gopro on days when you think it might rain. They’re waterproof. Not the best microphone on them but at least your camera won’t need a bag on it.
Dave man... people don't watch your videos to see the fish.... sure... we all love to see a 40, a 50, a 60 pound fish or bigger.... but the reality is that people wouldn't watch you if you had a bad personality. People wanna see you man... they watch enough of your videos they feel like they know you. You a wealth of good information. And on top of that your fun to watch... some people, myself included find your sense of humor hilarious. You seen one catfish you seen em all. We all Dream of the big one.... but you show the good days... you show the bad... people will watch.... they watchin you not the fish.
