Love your work as always Xaereth. In a traditional mirror (RC, XB & HT) a lot of it comes down to the speeds of your RC/XB and their RC/XB. I have my XB (Cad at R7 full 6 dots) at 184 and RC (BAM at R6 and 4-6dots) at 183 and have never lost a mirror against a team where their RC is faster than my XB which is nearly every mirror I have faced in the last few months - so more relics is actually bad on BAM IMO. Doesn't matter if they go first or not - it's almost a sure win every time although the new changes have increased the RNG a little since the capital ship can now cleanse RC. If their RC is faster you need to follow these steps (shared below) which I put up in a video recently for some guildies. If their RC is slower than your XB then he will cleanse so you will need to adjust your strat. I have only just started looking at this as I have never had a problem with that myself (I have to unmod my pilots to try it in my shard) but it looks like if you go for XB first you can generally kill him if you get the double tap - as I say though it is a work in progress. Step 1 and Step 2 - If they go first then use special to get taunt up on HT attacking opponents HT (don't get theirs to taunt) / If you go first then use cleanse on RC Step 3 - Call RC to assist with Cad Bane targeting opponents RC Step 4 - Call XB to assist with RC targeting opponents RC Step 5 - Call in Ebon Hawk and basic on opponents RC and keep hitting RC until dead. You can lose the battle here if you can't drop the opponents RC before Executor cleanses and restores it to full health but this has yet to happen for me - touch wood. On Ebon's next turn use it's second special so it brings Chafe back up on everyone, preventing any hope that their capital ship destroys yours first. Step X - Call all ships to assist targeting the opponents HT (you want those target locks!) then on the next capital ships turn you can either call S1 who can drop his bomb on his first move or you can destroy their capital ship - then you can pretty much swith it to auto to cleanup!
@@matthewlindeman764 it does - after you do that move their HT will get a turn and use his special which will bring up his taunt. You will have a mark on the opponents RC though and can still hit him even if HT is taunting
I'm having a harder time to mirror my shard mate's executors who are all 7 stars mostly. This brief tutorial is a welcome. But as you said, I hope you will do the more comprehensive exec vid soon.
I do appreciate this video a lot as executor meta-as made fleets miserable and GAC more nerve-racking. I think I will be using this to help shift my mindset on how I approach both. Very well done
Is there a variant of this that works when you are R9 vs R9 and lose the opening coin flip? I usually just heal first to clean debuffs, but not sure if that is the correct way to mount the algorithm.
r8 vs r9 3 attacker line up you lose in 5 sec/1 or 2 moves if AI mass attack your razor crest and it does that 99% of the times and if IG2000 or xanadu double tap you lose even faster. have r8 piett and have to beat r9, i stopped trying to climb the last 5 ranks its not worth the pain or the extra crystals anymore
Hi Xareth, would you recommend bringing the Razor Crest past relic 3 if your Executor fleet will remain at 4/5 stars for the foreseeable future? I've heard it's better to keep it under reliced in 4 star vs 7 star mirrors Cheers
In my shard, we have about 30 r9 pietts, and they all run the full attacker fleet. If you have an r8 piett, it's basically hell to climb. Do you have any recommendations for r8 pietts versus r9+all attacker ships with mostly r8 pilots? I've pretty much given up on climbing because I'm not in the mood to r9 piett, especially when it still means I'll be climbing from 30+ if I have him and has a negligible difference when my opponents in GAC are using finalizer/Malevolence to counter it.
If you want to game the system you can get Cad faster but for GAC you are making your BAM weaker, which I don't recommend. R8 is ideal for all of them if course, but R7 is probably mostly fine
I am talking about getting them to assist in that order - the speeds of the ships determine when they go (or other mechanics like if someone hits someone else then HT goes)
