I've got a Cheetah on my 18 5500. Only complaint is it gets super laggy after the truck idles for 10-15mins. Checked vain position and everything does what it's suppose to. I've just learned to live with it.
@horsetorquesdiesel Did that. Also new OEM MAP, MAF, IAT and Back Pressure Sensor. Shop thinks it might be a clearance issue inside the turbine housing once the turbo gets some heat in it. Truck pulls 25- 30,000lbs+ daily.
Is your IAT sensor in the intake, or is it just dangling in the engine bay? I can see that happening if you have it sitting near the manifold or something. The ecm will think it's 150 degrees. I would check for soot around your manifold to turbo, around the head and manifold, and make sure the center section of the turbo is torqued correctly. If the Vband is not torqued right, when it gets hot it could be leaking. Even a little drive pressure leak will kill your power.
Good video Josh! Do y’all have yearly vehicle inspections in socal? When I was a kid we had them in fl thank god we don’t any I like moding my units !!
@@horsetorquesdieselJosh - I want to get rid of the grid heater as well to my 14 - what's the best/easiest way to not have a CEL once the grid heater is gone? Tune it out?
Any recommendations on 3rd or 2nd gen swap kits for a 4g? I tried looking up 2nd gen kits, but it seems like a lot of companies dont make them anymore.
@horsetorquesdiesel thanks man one more question whos turbo should i go with? Ive got a 4g with a fleece turbo on i wana try something else on my other truck.
Hey bud I have a question my daughter has a 2008 6.7 Cummins and her exhaust brake has never worked it does have a new turbo in it with actuator any idea what to look for to fix that?
hey so i think i got fucked lol , had some turbo issues brought it to a local shop , they told me it was my acuator , still doing the same shit , exhaust brake only works when i first initially put it on , when the truck goes to down shift , exhaust brake cuts out and doesn’t keep the back pressure on …. some people are telling me these trucks know when i have a trailer hooked up and won’t engage the brake if i don’t have a trailer . Thoughts pls ?
