EXHAUSTING Progress on the LS3 Land Rover Defender Build

Today we get our Defender 90 exhaust started. We start off with the ceramic coated manifold then mock up the y pipe with the catalytic converters fitted in there. Tight squeeze going from the 4 cylinder diesel to the 430 hp LS3 V8 but we make it work.

Looking very nice love the stainless steel shine!😎 My LR4 exhaust conversion which is identical to yours still has the ability to throw up engine light faults I just clear them! Annoying though!

That’s just a built in Land Rover feature, best way to fix the check engine lights is to go with the series trucks that never had them haha.

Apparently they are doing resilience courses at university to teach young people. If everyone owned a LR, things like Covid etc would not be a problem, we’d all get on with it!

I have a question 🙋‍♂️ and totally open for a learning moment. It’s a NA motor so with one side of your exhaust longer than the other, how have you calculated your back pressures? Or have you simply just designed this to fit?
