I just got through breaking my 650 in, going from a 250, I got her upto 106 and she has so much more power than my lil 250. Scared me, but exhilarating at the same time. Love my Ninja 650. ❤
Have the same bike ,,, this 650 wheelys very easy.. but only in 1 or 2 gear .. did one leaving work to go home today.. this ninja 650 has good low and mid range power .. . Nice bike for new riders and experience riders ... thanks for sharing....
Truly is a fun bike to ride. Def don't need a 1000cc. I upgraded to a z900 and man, it's kinda less fun because I am not able to really use the bike to it's full potential without risking too much.
@cloudybiker I had the same problem when moving up from smaller bikes. Selling my gireblad in the coming season for that exact reason plus its boring doing anything that isn't above the top speed in first gear
I have an 08 ninja 650 with ecu tune and leovvince underbelly. Blows the socks off of other ninja 650s. Kinda like this one. Next step is new clutch plates and springs.
I was able to ride one of these as a replacement motorcycle while my ninja 400 was being serviced. It definitely has a lot more power for use on country roads but is not really faster at top speed.
The growl of the engine really does sound nice. Took me time to warm up to the sound of the 650 after listening to inlines for a while, but actually, I like this now. Do you have an after-market exhaust on there?
Thanks for watching! I normally keep it at 1. It's not too intrusive on normal riding. It only becomes annoying to use when you're trying to get the fastest 0-60 time from a launch. But for the most part, Its good to have when you're just put riding around town and in the twisties. I never use 2nd unless it's wet.
May be a silly question but I’m a newbie so I’ll ask anyways in order to learn 😅 but I bought the 2023 650.. when I’m on the highway and in 6th, the gear indicator literally starts flashing orange/ red at about 135 km/h the same as it would in a lower gear to indicate it wants to be shifted up but it’s already in 6th… do you have your bike tuned so it can up more speed? Or am just really f*ing up somehow
That's just a suggestion, you can go faster than that. But since it's new, ild keep under that flashing indicator till you reach 600 miles on your odometer. After 600, do an oil change and you can turn it off on the dash settings. After that, you can red line it haha.
Been thinking about getting my riding permit (required in Washington) and I’m torn between getting a smaller enduro or to just go all out and get the 650 and learn on that. My main issue is just the idiots on the road and the road itself
This might be my first officially big boy bike after a Asian Lady almost took me out with her illegal U Turn now looking at the ninja 650 cuz i cant find a Honda 650
You were able to hit the top speed pretty fast for the bike. Awesome, fun bike that doesn't cost as much as some of the others can. A question is, if a rider is hauling @ss and then a cop puts his pursuit lights on not far behind, will the rider let go of the throttle and pull over, or risk everything and try to get away? Then the question of cameras everywhere these days.
As a fellow Ninja 650 owner you may want to do your next high speed run early Sun AM on your local highway when there's minimal traffic-alot less chance of getting sideswiped and at those speeds you have very little reaction time to avoid an idiot who didn't check to see if the lane was clear before moving into it.
Imma go and rent one real quick lmfaoo. I can feel the power. I had a z900 for a few months till some f*ck stole it. ild imagine it would be similar in power.
@@jaysteezy7211 it's def more fun without haha. My neighbors probably don't agree. I actually turn off my bike down the block and glide the rest of the way home when I come home late haha.
