One version I heard is that Lucas' sequel trilogy would have gone into the Whills, which existed on a more microscopic level than Midichlorians, and were able to produce Midichlorians to influence the Force sensitivity of organic life-forms. But then the Force was something else that existed, and Midichlorians were just how living things interfaced with it. But there's all kinds of different versions of it out there, and some of those are probably just made up.

RvB got weird the moment they had an elaborate plot. Seinfeld had it right, a show about nothing.

I feel like this is the flaw of like...every comedy show. Archer. Arby n the Chief. Even arguably South Park - where the episodic bite humor suddenly puts needless tension across entire seasons and the characeters and motive conflict with the fun stuff.

Season 6 was a mistake and it never recovered.
