EXO's 2024 Fan Meet: Epic B-Side Medley Reaction! 🎤🔥 - KPop On Lock S3E11 

To be fair, because you're not so familiar with each EXO voices compared to us fans who can distinguished who's singing which part even to the tiniest and deepest of their vocal layering, it's easy for you to get confused especially between Suho and Chen's voices because their tone is similar. However, EXO sings live and great at it too. You can tell there's a very minimal backtrack, I'm no expert but I guess that is used also to guide the singers since live performances are prone to unforeseeable conditions plus some background adlibs from the non present members. Going back to this particular performance, as others have said, Chen was miming while vibing to Suho's part when the camera focused on him. Ironically enough because the very guy you pointed out/suspected of lipsyncing is known for stopping mid performance when a pre recording is playing in the background. A recent technical glitch happened while he was performing in Indonesia very recently, so the staff played a pre recording only for him to stop at the start when he realised there was a problem and when they couldn't fix it, he decided to sing the song in acapella. He even sings live during his MV shoot. Also, few hours before this very fan meeting, I watched Baekhyun live and witnessed his soundcheck in thw Philippines and I can 💯% tell you guys they're even more amazing live👌 Thank you for your EXO reactions and cheers for more!

It's not his (CHEN) part, it was SUHO who is singing at 11:24 and he (CHEN) is just singing along. I mean how can you question their live performance? That's insane! Yes, there's a backtrack but it's so minimal that you can barely hear it. Well, I can't blame you guys if you think that it's pre-recorded because their live performances are too perfect something that I can be proud of as an EXO-L. Don't be so shocked to witness they look so relaxed in singing. They're THAT GOOD. Even the knetz acknowledge them as great vocalists. Most of the people even loves the live versions more than the recorded one. And they're one (if not the only) of the group that uploaded the concert version of their songs on spotify. And that says a lot. Also these guys, even if they're known as the kpop vocal kings already are still going to a lot of vocal lessons. That's our pride. We can never feel ashamed of their vocals skills bcoz we know they never disappoint. For your question about fan meets, they are extremely varied but generally between 1-2 hrs long. EXO did 2 sessions (a little bit different for each show) that day and it was to celebrate 12 years since their debut. Individual idols will hold fan meets and so will groups, often around birthdays or debut dates as a celebration with fans. Music is often not the main part of a fan meet; it will be included to varying degress but fan meets are often like a variety show or party or pretty much whatever the idols and the fans would like. The boys made this medley at fans' request. Many beloved b-sides have rarely ever been done live before just because EXO has such a big discography. The Killing Voice they did was so short and many fans asked for more and EXO delivered. Many of these b-sides are very well known but ones like Butterfly Effect have only been included in like one concert. Pretty much the best gift they could give fans is live singing and they know that.

You didnt catch the part where suho missed the beat for “forever”. He started a little early. And chanyeol looked at him. Watch them more. You’ll be able to distinguish their voices. It was suho singing that part. Chen was having so much fun. He was singing along with him.

It’s a sold out Fanmeet and they didnt LIPSync its Live Vocal they look relaxed becoz its a fanmeet not a concert and they dont have to do Hardcore choreography.After this they had some games and cute interactions with fans. You should watch full fancam of all the members in one video, if you're going to question their live vocals. In fancam, you can see who is singing and even doing harmonies with each other.

Just like Lay explained in his latest show. Every member should know the song by heart. Even if it is not their part, they can sing along and for the major reason that if something happen to any member, someone or anyone from the group can fill in.

@12:12 Chen was just singing along. if it's his part, you would definitely hear him singing. probably the one you're hearing is a back track/ background vocals. technically, fan meetings are more relaxed than full concerts. it's more interaction w/ the fans. like this performance, it's their version of Killing Voice. since a lot of fans requested to hear more songs. they didn't really prepared any choreography since all of them are in between their individual schedules. i also think since their main dancers (Kai & Sehun) are not there, it feels incomplete without them. just an example, Baekhyun just came back from his concert tour in Manila the day of this fan meeting. he even said that he has to sleep in a hotel near the venue & even taken meds because he's not feeling well same w/ Suho. & they have to do this show twice. this video was part of the 1st show. they did the title tracks on the 2nd show. on the 2nd show, they lost the game & their penalty is to wear panda suit. Sehun & Kai was watching this fan meeting with the fans. they were seated with the audience.

Thank you for your reactions to EXO. I just wanted to mention that the reason why you may think that there is not that many people is because the camera focuses on just a small section of the arena. Also, many fans tend to hold their light sticks lower as to not block other fans and also put them down sometimes as you do get tired of holding it up. If you want to really hear the fan chants, you should check out the fan cams as they do seem to filter the fans out in official videos. Probably because they would drown out the group’s voices. In regards to their live performances, you are not the first ones to question them, for years many fans of other groups have made it their mission to try and discredit them as it is impossible for them to understand how EXO can have such amazing live vocals. Don't worry it's Live. On 11.24 when the camera in Chen, it was Suho who sing. In their EXO vlog also mentioned, what is Lipsync? 😁 Slowly both of you will know EXO members vocals tone.

Fan meetings are very different compared to concerts. Its more for the fans and are typically more casual and intimate. It tends to have more talking, answering fan questions, fan interaction and playing games which you don’t get in concerts. They also tend to only sing a few songs as its not a concert. This fan meeting had the most songs compared to past fan meetings. My guess is that fans requested for Exo to have a second part to their Killing Voice as it was quite short hence the medley. Its more fan-centered event rather than performance-centered. If they do dance its only for a few songs. It isn’t supposed to be a very high energy setting although it could be, but its more of a yearly get-together with the fans.

Whenever you have doubts about whether it is pre-recorded or live, go to d.o., d.o. parts. He is always the member who exposes EXO's live vocals, since he always adds his style and makes it clear that they are singing live. For example adding adlibs, growls,etc

Maybe because you can't differentiate the voices of each exo member, it's okay if there is a little misunderstanding, hopefully in the future you will get to know more about exo. Even I, who have known Exo for 9 years, still often think they lip sync😂 because Exo's vocals are that good, even their live singing is better than the recorded version. Certain countries have different concert manners (like South Korea or especially Japan), and they typically won't sing or even yell unless they're told to. An exception is the fanchants that go along with the song, BUT not all songs have them! Title track songs usually have them, but not every B-side does~~~ Hence, why this crowd seems quiet, at parts^.^

I'm 1 minute in and already have something to say lol. all the fans have their lightsticks there it seem less because of the color changing thingie going on. this fanmeet was in Inspire arena that has 16k people capacity if I remember correctly, and they had two shows in one day. anyway I'll go watch the rest of the reaction now 😅

idk if you will read all this or not but i just want to explain something! they are using a low backing track in the background that they are singing over, this is not new and most singers do this in their concerts. on 14:36 D.O. didn’t use the mic and we hear the low backing track with his voice play, then on 14:41 we see him placing the mic up to his mouth again at the end there and actually sings. note the difference, his actual live vocals are much louder than the backing track. the part where you said some parts sound "too perfect" may be because you hear the backing track come through. however, the part at 11:23 is just Chen vibing and mouthing the lyrics to Suho’s part, so no that’s not his voice and it’s not the same thing D.O. did. in my opinion the cameraman should’ve filmed Suho there and not Chen, cause i get how that became confusing 😭 in conclusion, no this is not a pre-recorded performance! hope this made sense LOL i just wanted to help and let you guys know 😄💓 thank you for your reaction, this performance always gets meeeeeee!! 🙌
