troop dupe just had the heart of the cards with him, he drew all games the 1x sangan, and also he always drew the 1x mst wich he sniped twice the exodia mst wich was the only out to decree insane :O
Not really heart of the card, he has jinzo, sangan, morphing jar, reaper, mst+the side deck decrees 7 cards which are all hard counter to exodia strategy and this exodia deck isn't really that fast so that troop dupe had some time to draw stuff
@@masanetthomas8586 exodia sided in 11 and barely saw a mst with all the draw power the deck has (imps were added with sangan), troop dupe had 7 counters and drew 5 every game without having any draw cards... fair enough XDD
@@musiyevonchilla6769 it wasn’t Exodia it was life equalizer. And if we are start listing those, Danger FTK and Pendulum FTK are both MUCH better than the monarch or hope for escape
No Troops, no Dupes, only Scoops. I voted for Exodia off memory of the decklists, but I had it in my head that Jinzo was the only threat, forgetting completely about Jar, Decree, and Reaper.
Exodia's vulnerabilities to negation and hand disruption are getting HARD exploited. Against XXSaber they got mauled by the Naturia's. This time it's morphing jar and royal decree. Next matchup Nekroz is about to get slaughtered harder than the Lannisters and the loot train. Trapgraph is an easily searchable hard counter to the Djinn lock, which is their only hope against any of these decks in the group. I don't see how Nekroz wins this one against probably a top 3 deck of all time (one that was preemptively hit after one weekend). Side note are we ever getting a Mystic Mine deck? Actually might be reverse powercrept against older decks which rely less on monster effects.
Sad to see Exodia knocket out of the tournament, at least the Exodia win condition has resolved twice already. Next match, I don't see Electrumite Turbo losing to Nekroz.
Just an FYI, Imps can negate and destroy Spirit Reaper. I saw you could have done that in last game. Don't know how much it would have mattered though.
How about Monarchs Exodia for the next CBC? As I know this variant was thr most consistent one which can lock ur opponent out of the ED while drew like crazy thx to the monarch cards & Chicken Game. Also this deck had some sort of success here and there
@@Hclody95 even in Top 16? Pretty neat for an Exodia deck Really? I Didnt know about that but ehy not? At least as a "challanger appears deck" bc Lith didnt like decks based on FTK's. Still doesnt change the fact Monarchs with magical explosion sounds nice
Yeah. Exodia is just too slow and loses to the cards you talked about. Next match should be good. I'm going with Pendulums 3-2 in the next one. Pendulums have an excellent resource game and Nekroz has the Djinn Lock which stops Pendulums dead, but Pendulums also have access to Droll in the side deck, which can be absolutely devastating to Nekroz.
@@espergirlprodigy9240 fair enough but it still got matched against old decks with hand destruction access, also x-saber whose whole gimmick is hand looping.
This matchup was hardly all that bad. I'll give you the first matchup was pretty brutal but the worst thing this deck did was slowly draw into Jinzo/Royal decree or a morphing jar which isn't that bad. Exodia is just not a good deck b/c you are forced to run 5 dead cards in the deck.
Now? Yes. Back then? Hope for escape exodia did have tops here and there. Tourney results speak for themselves. It never was the meta, but it did see success.
@@badcaseofthebajabada not to mention Confiscation, dustchute shuffling back a piece or handtrap, storm and MST blowing up the backrow and forcing activations... not only 5-7 hard counters in Trupe Dupe Scoop, it also had lots of tools to just make life hell for exodia in general.
