I never get sick of listening to Gary play. He is the Eddie Van Halen of thrash. I always hear something different in his playing, when I listen to him perform. The guy has crazy mean riffs. Easily one of the top Riff Lords of all time.
P.s. to your granting him Rifflord status... I even have the word riff tattooed on my knuckles ... Gary and exodus, were the first to bring me the wish to learn guitar and write my own songs! So heck yeah I'm agreeing with you twice!
The song is from the album "Impact is Imminent". Exodus classic album from which they play only this song. They haven't played a single song from the ''Force of Habit'' album for decades, and the album is amazing. Gary and Rick played amazing solos... On that album is the song "Good Day to Die", for which they made a video. Look at their concert at Wacken in 2008, they had singer Rob Dukes there, for me and many other fans better than Zetro. There they played "old" songs and new songs and the concert was absolute madness...
I love that song. Been 15372 times in the playlist. First I got goosebumps at the Riff starting 3:10 . And then, few weeks later the goosebumps doubled as I learned how to play this and the next killer riff (I am 50 and started playing guitar last summer). Might be easy for some one else - for me it took a lot of practice and I really enjoy beeing able to play the whole song now 🤘 And it also taught me to play lazy up and down strokes 😂
Who's this geek on Gary's shirt? Guess all his good clothes are in the hamper cause that's life on the road?🤔 Only clean shirt he hs, has some GEEK on it!😂😂
