In today's episode we will get to know some of the most beautiful #beaches in Greece, at Sithonia, the second #peninsula of Halkidiki.
We start with #Kalamitsi #beach. It lies 157 km from #Thessaloniki and just 15 km from #Sarti. It is a place of exceptional beauty that combines the magic of Halkidiki and the grace of the #Greek #islands of the #Aegean Sea. The sea color is turquoise and the #sandy beach is surrounded by white rocks.

Sithonia is a place has an intense natural beauty!
The pine trees meet the sandy beaches and picturesque fishing villages are located between amazing little bays. You will, of course, need to rent a car and drive around the coast. It can take you some days if you want to relax and discover all its secrets!
It is located on the north part of Greece and it is the 2nd peninsula of Halkidiki region and it is a more family-oriented with amazing beaches, one after the other!
Thе сlοsеst airpоrt is Mасеdοnia Airpоrt οf Тhеssaloniki, which 80 κm frоm thе bеginning οf Sithonia and another option is the airport of Kavala which is farther away. You will reach Sithonia easily though the mаin rοаd frоm thе сitу οf Тhеssaloniki.

The strong point of Halkidiki and especially Sithonia is its fantastic beaches! Generally, we would say that the west coast is flat and the beaches are close to the road and they are usually sandy or mixed.
The south and east are more mountainous and nature there is really impressive. The beaches are less crowded, but just keep in mind that some of them are accessible by dirt roads. Not even in islands, you will find so many dreamed beaches.
Sithonia has numerous small and large beaches, much more compared to the other Halkidiki peninsulas. There is always a beach where you can be away from the crowds or even alone in low season. The west coast is flat and all beaches are along on near the road, most of them with sand or sand mixed with gravel. The south and east part of Sithonia are mountainous and green and the beaches are more picturesque, some of them reachable by dirt roads but all worth to see. The different shades of blue and the panoramic views from the road make this part of Sithonia look completely different from the west one. There are many campsites on the east coast, managing long and sandy beaches. If you like beach parties, your place is between #Vourvourou and Sarti.
