i've got 3c/4a and when i first went natural my ds unambiguous friend would pull on my curls often, she even admitted to being curious about my hair texture since my go to style is braids. Growing up even my mom lied about me having coarser hair to discourage me from going natural. People are always policing what exoticals do to themselves beauty wise
Imagine being jealous when YOUR MAN who had a child WITH YOU compliments the child with YOUR GENETICS. Like what? You slept with him for a reason be happy your child is beautiful and move on or don’t sleep with men who have features you want.
I experienced similar situations. I think it is very complicated when people in the same family have different skin tones and especially hair texture because they use humbling tactics and gaslighting which makes you feel confused.
My hair was almost as long as my body .my mom cut my long hair off when I was 12 completely.my dad gave her money to take me to salon and I came back with hair shorter then his. My dad said she was jealous.😢
I believe it girl, people always have a hard time believing that jealousy is really that real out here , however this is very common its a lot of hurt people just walking around this planet

I just recently found out I have American Indian and white ancestry but I look more black passing. Would i still be considered MGM? I always thought my phenotype and hair texture was “different” from the UABW in my family but they’re so black identified they would gaslight me about it
I go by black and people think im latina . I do know spanish tho .its crazy people just come to me speakkng Spanish and assume im one of them before i even speak.i don't think i loook ambiguous .what yall think?
I have Spanish ancestry.but you can pass as a latina.i don't know too much Spanish either.and go through the same thing.when people talking to me in Spanish. Hispanics come in all shades.
Mhm yep I had to tune in cause so much jealousy bout me being dark skin with 3c4a hair( primarily 3c). My mom and dad are MGM. But my grandpa has 2c hair. Aunt 3c/2a and both on the darker end like my complexion. And my mom Is light with 3c3b. And dad 3c4a. But my older sister and siblings on both sides got type 4 hair. Like my sister really started to bleach and heat train to where her 4b curls got damaged and started saying we had the same hair. She light skin with green eyes. No she would wear wigs to look like my curls smh. My dad is dark skin too. My stepdad family really questioned my texture for yrs and if I finger curled…I’m so lazy with my hair I don’t got time to finger curl. I put mousse leave in or leave on and a botanical Light gel and GO . Today I did two curly pigtails after I washed my hair. I had girls try to fight me on hs bout my hair being long to pull it out. Smh. I got to beauty supply and the Asians/Chinese owners always say my hair is beautiful and looks like a wig. I stopped talking to My siblings and most family And I do use my hair as an advantage. Most jobs hire if hair is straight. I get jobs based off my curls . And treated better curly
