I have seen many videos about the Philippines and moving, monthly expenses and dating. There is a lot to say and a lot to pay attention to because it is often confused that the attention a girl can give is more out of interest than out of love. Btw a good video to make would be about the costs of staying in the Filippines and what is the minimum a filipino girl would want to consider a foreign guy for a really serious relationship. If a foreigner (man) comes to the P.I. looking for a wife, that means he values a Filipina more than a woman from any other country, including his own. Filipinas (at least those with values from the provinces) are known as having better character and personalities for family life; foreigners also prefer a respectable and responsible person as a wife and mother in a secure family setting. Would you prefer foreign men just look for quick sex, and then move on? There are countries where that sort of activity is popular. Arrianna, you should realize that if a man prefers a Filipina over women from other countries, then he has just complimented ALL Filipinas as being the type of woman preferred by men of the world. So, let me ask you a different question: Would you rather that foreign men reject Filipinas because they think Filipinas would be inferior wives? OR, Would you think it better that foreign men think that Filipinas are only good for "one night stands," but are rejected as wives or mothers for their future kids? Being rejected is losing, but being pursued is winning. Consider, also, that foreigners traveling into the P.I. leave some of their money in the P.I. That adds wealth to the country and adds to the stability of the government and the Filipino/Filipina people. It improves the overall standard of living of the people living in the P.I. The more money brought into the P.I., the more improvements will happen in the government and throughout your country. If you don't want to tell foreign men where the good women are, tell them the name of a city far away to get rid of them. But if you think the foreign guy might be OK, and if you know of a Filipina looking for a foreign man to marry, then you could tell her to meet up with the foreign guy to see if it might result in a relationship. Judging possibilities too quickly may result in a lost opportunity. The foreigner may be able to help your own situation or even your family's. Opportunities blossom in surprising places and moments.

Just because a person is of a certain nationality doesn't mean they have xyz values. 2. Filipinas DO NOT NEED foreign husbands to do better in their lives. Coming to a country who are "poor" because of a complicated socio-political economic situation that was one way or another caused by the corruption and evil of the Western civilization all throughout history and then acting like a savior is cringe AF. And don't get me started about this whole argument about expats helping the PH economy because they simply don't. IDK which economist you heard your misconception from. I live in Dumaguete City, a popular city for old expats living on their retirement (because their retirement benefits would not have supported a comfortable life wherever they are from). And I have experienced many negative effects from the explosion of these expats in the local community including raising the price on local rent, real estate, recreational places and activities etc. My family is also from Siargao. Another place where foreigners have come in droves, corrupting and abusing the environment while leaving the locals poorer than they were before. I myself am engaged to a European man I met playing video games online. And no, he's not saving me from poverty. Tbh at this time, I am wealthier than he is. He is not with me because he thinks I will treat him like a God and change his diapers and wipe his drool in his old age.

Imho, there are instances where filipinas (or maybe Asians) have traits and values that most modern countries have lost, that's why a lot of foreigners are being attracted on that specific trait/value, which draws them to the PH. While with other filipinas... They don't need a FOREIGN HUSBAND'S MONEY. They are well off, and has admirers, BUT it just happens they find foreigners more attractive. No hate for the locals. They just PREFER foreigners. I'm sure you know very well about the impact of the expats there in Dumaguete and hate it. I'm sorry to say that tourism is killing your province. But from what I saw, (well, maybe you're right, but) visiting other provinces/islands in the PH where you see the locals doing their best to speak in tagalog, english, korean, japanese, mandarin/fukien/cantonese, spanish and other languages that I couldn't even identify, I mean, look at their hard work just to cater to all tourists! I admit I feel so ashamed of myself sitting in front of the computer all day and yet still complain I'm not earning enough, yet those ppl - Tourism is all they have. It feeds their family, it puts a roof over their heads, sends their kids to school. So, s*xpat or not, they still 'help' with the economy. And by carrying people's luggages, getting P20, P50 or even P100 tip per person, 8-10hrs a day would go far for them and their family. (I think I need to switch careers now lol) For the price increase... idk how Duma's government take on that. I thought there's a reason for "foreigner's fee/price" on those stuff? Goods and other items should remain "pinoy priced" for the filipinos. Sorry, I just had to put it out there. But like I said, I am not dismissing all your points. You are 1000% correct in some instances, but let's not generalize things. I'm sorry to hear Dumaguete's terrible situation because of the expats, and that your European fiancé thinks of you that way.
