This really hits me right now. We bought a new car on Monday that we were sure would fit our toddler and the new baby...on Friday we found out the new baby is twins 😮
We sold our minivan because we used our Nissan Pathfinder more with our family of 6. 🤣 The minivan had a lot of wasted, nonfunctional space for our needs.
@haleytolivar7572 LOL we only have one right now and aren't planning on having more than 3 total, so hopefully, this works for us 🤣 But I can appreciate that a different vehicle would work better for more children!!!
@@justfacts9649 Which van and which Atlas? The Dinky ass one that comes with a 2l turbo that only makes one MPG better in the EPA test than the V6 Odyssey? Or the Sienna that gets better than any of the VW Atlas line up? Hell even the KIa Carnival matches the Odyssey and has a smoother V6 the 4banger in the VW.
@Zeiss120 and the price difference to drive a tacky car is 20-30k more than just a regular large size vw. The warranty on those vans, especially Honda and Toyota doesn't even cover anything. At the least german engineered vehicles have decent coverage on all warranty issues.
This is why i got a mini van we have 3 kids and we had a ford focus (tiny as hell car) when the little one was 8 months we got the van and i have no regrets 2 years later
That’s why I got a minivan with 1 kid. We planned on having more kids and didn’t want to have to immediately upgrade. Just skipped the “middle man” vehicle.
I remember spilling chocolate milk inside my moms 2002 Dodge Caravan when I was a kid back in the 2000s and mom got real upset to the point where she actually started to cry while she was trying to clean it up. We look back and laugh today at it but she said she remembers being so upset because her van was still fairly new when it happened. As I’m older now I don’t blame her since cars at the time still always had carpet in them with carpet mats before rubber floor mats really became a thing😂 It ended up having a lot of front end suspension problems though which is why she switched to Honda in 2007. Since then she’s now had 2 Honda Odyssey’s, ‘07 and ‘15 and a ‘18 CRV and now has a ‘21 Pilot lol
Stop buying useless crossovers. Old station wagons do the job way better. Chevys suburbans take it a step further. An old 3/4 ton suburban ( not made anymore) will do anything well except get good gas milage. Seating up to 9, heavy duty parts that don’t wear out, big comfy seats, 4x4 for snow, good towing capabilities, cruises at 80 no problem.
Then buy a Minivan or a wagon? I mean Minivan and Wagon/Estate are a family car...and ngl back in the 70s 80s we use Wagons for family use...man that one video changed my mind of SUV are a actual family car...
For whatever reason crossovers (lifted cars) are cool but wagons and vans arent. We went striaght to the minivan. Gonna max it out ina few years and move to a 15 passenger van.
It looks like a Nissan pathfinder. This kind of confuses me because just three weeks ago we got one and it looks identical. But they have a third row which you can see when she has the truck up that three is the third row because the seats pull up. So when her kids get older they will be able to fit in the third row.
Don’t forget the chargers outlet that many SUVs do not have in the back. We looked into a Volvo XC90 my gosh, there was only one plug in the front and in the back. I thought I’m guessing the designers do not have children with iPads or electronics.
Everyone, don't buy models that are known for being involved in many accidental child deaths in which parents overran their own kids in the driveway. Big SUV-style "suburban tanks" are lethal to pedestrians even at very slow speeds and children in close proximity to the car are basically invisible to the drivers. Btw., these cars with unnecessarily big bodies are also climate killers (inefficient gas/energy users), road surface destroyers, space wasters and i.m.o. just plain ugly. They also generally have less loading capacity than a good old station wagon, let alone a mini van. And yes, I know, for Americans, this car is tiny (which is sad, really), so I'm rather talking to other people considering buying a (family) car.
Hahahah This is funny bc I can bet anyone 100 Trillion dollars that she went to the dealership and was forced an SUV on her and her husband. With the salesman saying that it’s gonna perfectly fit your kids and all the stuff you need for to go to the beach. And then you actually try it and it doesn’t work What a joke. This is why I call dealerships _stealerships_ To make it worse, the manufacturers keep on making SUVs even tho they aren’t particularly good at going anything except being shitty. Want a car that’s actually functional? Get a wagon. (If you can find one that is. Manufacturers don’t make them for the US market anymore)
