The Expedition rowboat is was designed by Julie and created for Julie and Colin Angus's seven thousand km rowing from Scotland to Syria. This 18' rowing scull is now available in kit form for those who wish to have the same boat.
Love the rowboat design! We are planning an expedition of our own,(not as spectacular as yours) in Aug 2010. We are hiking near the west end of Lake Cowichan, travel across the lake (hopefully row), and bike the TransCanada Trail to Lake Shawnigan.We were inspired by your human powered travel and our passion for adventure racing, then add a 3,5,7,&9 year old with two adults.We figure we have the odds in our favor!The video will sure help me plead my case for rowboats rather than kayaks & canoes!
