We just finished and had a great time! As the game went on we began to discover the possible domino effects some of these cards can have on one another. Planning out a move, finding the most efficient use of abilities, and maximizing meteorites and time abilities is so much fun. Such a great game.
@@rodneydunn9611 Ah brilliant! Fantastic that you had a great time. Yeah, there is a lot of synergy to be found between the cards. I find Stonemaier Games are actually very good at that. Red Rising in particular comes to mind. Expeditions has a great theme and it really is a lot of fun planning out moves. Thanks for getting back to us! Cheers!

Hey All Aboard! Love your videos and this one in particular really helped us get this game going after struggling for a couple of hours 🤣. I think there is an error at 08:10 though that I am hoping you can comment on to make sure we understand the game correctly. At this point Olga is played by Pat. I know that he should have received 1 Guile and he did not and you call this out in the video, but I believe there is another error. Pat should not have gained a blue worker because he did not "activate" the card's bottom power by placing a green worker on the card. Also, while I am commenting. Does a "Solved" card have to originate from your hand (e.g. un-activated) or can it originate from the activated side of your player's matt? Hoping you can comment on this and thanks again for taking the time to put this demonstration together!

You are absolutely correct about the green worker. I should have placed one to trigger that ability. When using a Solve ability, your mech must be on a location tile matching a quest card you control. Cards you control are always face up and may exist in one of two places: in your hand to the left of your mech mat or in your active row to the right of your mat. Hope this helps!
Gorgeous looking game. Think this will do well with our games group. Recently played Archeosociety at our recent all-day session - I’d certainly recommend it.
Hi Ian! How are things? Yes, Expeditions really does look good on the table. I especially love the metal mechs from the Ironclad Edition, but from what I have seen, even the regular ones look good. It's nice to be able to revisit the Scythe world too. Haven't heard of Archeos Society before, but I just looked it up and it looks pretty interesting. I'm a fan of games with archaeological expeditions!
@@AllAboardBoardgames we’re both well, thanks. Trust all is well with the both of you. I think Archeosociery may have been a kickstarter - my friends posted some photos (in a somewhat gloating and smug manner I felt, lol) a few weeks ago of it and last Saturday was the first opportunity to play it. It has an old-school adventure/expedition feel for a card collecting game. Immense fun and they say it works well for 2 players.

@1:19:21 she only took 25 coins for her stars instead of 30, so it should have been a tie and it looks like she'd have won the tiebreaker since you total up all the glory categories (even those where you don't have a star) to see who has the higher total.
Oh you are absolutely correct! That would have definitely led to a tiebreaker and Glai winning! Thanks for pointing this out. I will make a note in the Klingon subtitles.
Hi Steve. We have never heard of Obsession, but Expeditions is a great game so if it is like it we probably would enjoy that one too. Thanks for the recommendation!
I guess that would really depend on your taste. I am a big fan on Scythe, so for me Scythe edges it, but Expeditions is a good solid game even at 2 player.
