First off, hello Jo 😃it's lovely to meet you. Wonderful to see Jaden. Oh, you too Steve lol I just love Sky Garden. I am so fortunate to have visited it twice.. Last year's visit was sooooo hot but so worth it. We have wonderful pictures and memories from there. I think I mentioned before that we went to St. Dunstan's in the East immediately after Sky Garden. Thank you for another wonderful video Steve

Fantastic!! It is good to see beautiful Jo!! I remember the former video of Sky Garden. The difference is the absolutely beautiful views! The signs on the window directing folks as to what they are viewing in the distance. The walkways are upgraded - it seems. Also, I do not remember so many wonderful places to eat. The Italian restaurant is new - I think. The other restaurant is in a great place cornered by windows within Sky Garden. Love the new "Large" coffee area!! The roof tops of so many buildings have green spaces and gardens - that is spectacular! And the "Garden at 120" is just gorgeous and huge!! The large palm is wonderful. Also, like Jo mentioned, even though the vast height may seem intimidating, the interior is such a nice barrier, one does not feel the fear of the heights. It is so well constructed and decorated inside. So the new buildings in the distance in Canary Warf give new views as well. I appreciate the little tuck-a-ways through out Sky Garden where folks may bring their coffee, sweets, foods, and such to enjoy with different views. That is my kind of relaxation with coffee and a nice Danish sweet. I did happen to see the wonderful video you posted at night in the Shard!! I was just thinking about that. I just LOVED the night time up there with the large bar/lounge for drinks as well as the wonderful places to sit and stand to see the gorgeous views of London by night. Beautiful. Glad to know they do not check to see if folks spend more than an hour up here. Totally enjoyed this and enjoyed seeing Jaden and Jo. Jaden looks just like his mother - he is handsome! Blessings.

Hi Luana, Thanks so much for the lovely comments and yes it has so much to offer up there as well as the amazing views across London. Great place to go and relax with refreshments and take in the views :) Thanks as always :)

Hi Luana! Thank you for your compliments. I’m very shy on camera as I have put on alot of weight and have a strong Essex accent!!! So I just did it as a spur of the moment thing and said my thoughts at the time! Jaden is now 13 and now a couple of months have passed doesn’t like appearing on camera! Has not wanted to do the live streams in the street as people look! But happy to do them at home. Yesterday he didn’t even want to show us his school photos!😉. It’s normal for his age though! Gino is 18 next month!!! They are both very different in their interests but that makes for interesting conversations! Gino and I discuss politics and world news! Jaden and I discuss music and watch lots of reality television together!!! We’re so blessed to have them. I love reading your posts as they’re always lovely and detailed. Thank you 💜

@@joatkins-linnell2413 Hello Jo! You look fabulous! Like a young woman and your figure is just fine!! I certainly can understand being shy on camera. I applaud folks who can do YT videos. I am basically in introvert. LOL I can understand Jaden taking on a change as he approaches his teenage life now. I always love him on the live streams at home while Steve is "out in the field", so to speak, presenting the area of interests like gardens, museums and such. Wow, Gino is 18 next month! Time flies, does it not? They are babies one minute, children the next, and then they are out on their own making their own footprints in the snow. I am sure he will be a great success - as will Jaden. I plan to come to London next summer unless anything unforeseen happens (and with the uncertainty in my country - that may happen. I tell you, our government is a 3 ring circus now!! I wont get into that rant as this is a family show). Anyway, if I do, it would be lovely to have a cup of coffee with you if you are not busy. Thank you for reaching out to me in comment. Blessings and do take care! Praying for you all

Ah thank you for your lovely reply. You’re so kind. I’ve told Jaden your lovely comments. I’m so proud when he does the live streams, he’s a natural. Oh I really hope you can visit London next summer and would love to meet up with you. Luana is such a lovely and unusual name. I hadn’t heard of it before. Yes we are shocked what is happening in America right now! Especially with LGBTQ rights it’s so upsetting. Sadly our government has moved too far to the right too and this does not sit at all well with us! Plus Boris Johnson and his lies, Liz Truss PM for 44 days! Now Rishi Sunak who no one voted for anyway! Sorry I have started ranting about politics! I can see you and I could chat for ages! I forget the part of America you live in? I’m sure Steve has told me. Have a great day 💜

What amazing views of London despite the awful cranes. Which there were only a few of. You really get great views from everywhere. You have some weird shaped buildings though. I love the idea of 🛋 for ultimate comfort. It's a shame they don't do nights as well as that would be amazing with all the lights. Glad to see the grass. Some of the prices weren't that horrible. Do you try any coffee and cake as you usually do ? Just beautiful 😍.
@LondonVisited
@LondonVisited 9 месяцев назад
Hiya Lesley, yep the cranes are still alive and working across the skyline! No didny get any ☕ or 🍰 whilst up there as queues were long and actually lovely to take in the views 👍😀

Hi Lesley Jaden and I did get a drink and snack in the new cafe opposite the Sky Gardens entrance which is run by the Sky Garden👍. I had an iced coffee as I’m into those!😉 We thought about a snack and drink in the Sky Gardens itself but as Steve says queues were long. I also wanted to be somewhere a little less crowded for drink and snack too! But it was nice to find a bench among the plants and take it all in. After we went back there and went to the upstairs restaurant which is lovely and had delicious pizza! 💜

9:08 You think you know London and then you get a different perspective on it from somewhere like this and you realise that your mental map can be a little more tube and a lot less Ordnance Survey. I was very lucky to work in the stepped blue glass building here in one of my first jobs. Hard to concentrate sometimes with the wonderful views downriver to the tower, the bridge and the battleship.
@LondonVisited
@LondonVisited 9 месяцев назад
That's funny as I used to visit that blue building many years ago with work, when it belonged to a bank and I remember the amazing views up and down the Thames :)
