House of Concrete Walls, designed by TRAANSPACE, is a contemporary residence located in a densely populated urban community in Vadodara, India. The design reimagines conventional house layouts by emphasizing a seamless connection between indoor and outdoor spaces, anchored by two orthogonally placed exposed concrete walls. The house features a linear structure with a recessed upper level that opens generously to the front garden. Large openings and skylights enhance the sense of warmth and interaction with nature. Key elements include a double-height courtyard, custom-designed concrete furniture, and thoughtfully placed skylights that illuminate various spaces throughout the day. The minimalist interior palette of neutral grey with concrete and wood accents creates a cohesive and warm atmosphere, making this home a serene retreat for a three-generation family.
