Join me as I take you through my unforgettable experience at the 2024 BMX Hall of Fame weekend in Tulsa, Oklahoma! 🎉 For my 50th birthday, my wife hooked me up with tickets to this incredible event, packed with BMX legends, jaw-dropping bikes, and the vibrant BMX community. (I love her so much!!!!) Held at the USA BMX National Headquarters and Hall of Fame Museum, this event was a true celebration of BMX history and the thriving scene today.
From hanging out with Sean from Rad BMX Builds and checking out Rob Lane’s jaw-dropping Redline collection, to watching some incredible flatland and bunny hop competitions, this weekend was one for the books. Plus, I'll give you a glimpse into the Hall of Fame induction ceremony, honoring legends like the Freestylin' Magazine Staff, Bobby Woods, Jay Miron, and the fearless Hugo Gonzalez.
This video also includes some insights on BMX racing today and my ride on the new 27.5” Monza cruiser during the weekend’s ride out. Spoiler alert: The bike was perfect for the ride and turned plenty of heads!

Go do the free day at a USABMX track near you!!! They have loaner race bikes and helmets. Just wear pants and long sleeves! I did it a year ago and finally racing BMX over 40 is awesome!!!! Do it!!!

woohoo looks like you had a load of fun,,shame it was so hot but hey you got to hit the museum of BMX history and view all those rare old school bikes on display ...and that BMX track in Tulsa is just outta this world cool 💣💣 ....and looking at the video during the final bike ride that guy riding the 29" pro performer looks super comfortable,,do you think the 27.5 Monza you were on would ride better with a slightly larger set of bars like he had on his 29" pro performer?

Good question on the bar height for the Monza. I feel pretty comfortable with them as they are. Never once did I think to myself, “I wish these were taller”. It’s strange because looking at the bike, they seem low, but if you put the bike up next to a 26” with taller bars, it’s surprising how the seat height, bottom bracket, and top of bars are all fairly similar. It’s just that the top tube is up higher on this than a 26” to accommodate the larger wheels. But with respect to the bar height on Josh’s 29” there at the end. I think he’s a bit taller than me, so there’s that consideration too.

Awesome seeing these events going on. I'd like to know more about the Buckeye show as I live up in Cleveland Ohio, I'm assuming that one takes place in Ohio.
