In this video I will introduce you to the new Volvo FH AERO on its way from RKL Opava near Opava to Ostrava. Watch with me as this top-of-the-range truck drives along the I/11 road and enjoy some beautiful footage of Czech roads. In Ostrava you will then see the arrival at the loading bay, where this time I am loading empty bottles for the journey to Saarbrücken, Germany. Look forward to in-cab details, driving dynamics and more insights into the life of a trucker with the new Volvo FH AERO!
Thanks to VOLVO Czech Republic for being one of the first in the Czech Republic to lend us this new truck for 14 days for testing.
And many thanks to my employer RKL OPAVA for allowing me to test this great truck and gain further experience.
This ride was the first live operation deployed in the Czech Republic, I dare say. The video is from 18th June 2024.

Hi Martin, I really like your new Volvo truck. Looks like things were wet but at least you didn't have heavy rain to deal with. Scenery was beautiful as usual. You are very lucky that your girlfriend likes your beard. My wife hated my beard, so I got rid of my wife! 🤣 I noticed that the "Chimp" is missing, I hope you put him back if you still have him. Hi and thanks for the interesting question. The empty Volvo FH tractor with the EVA Aero package typically weighs approximately 9 to 10 tons, while a tri-axle trailer weighs around 6 to 8 tons. This means that the total empty weight of the rig is between 15 and 18 tons. With a maximum allowed limit of 40 tons, this leaves a capacity for cargo weighing between 22 and 25 tons.
