Always been a EU gogo head. Ju Ju is just a monster drummer. I remember when he was playing with a band called Heavy Connection. They played at Duval in the 80's, it was the first time I had seen him and was totally blown away. He was also the Drummer for Lil Benny and the Masters for awhile and played on their first album.
Hell yeah! Got damn, Bear, Tino, and JuJu at their finest! RIP - Tino! He was absolutely incredible. Nobody in GoGo sounded or played like Tino. And, ya'll better stop playing with Suga. JuJu is the best drummer in GoGo history,....PERIOD! And, one of the best to come out of DC. He's only surpassed in that regard by the the late Ricky Wellman.
Had some in-laws from down south see this video when visiting me, and they are like man.....those dudes are pretty good, we thought go-go was straight drums and congas. RIP Tino.
