A Traveller's exile doesn't count as the day's execution. You can exile as many Travellers as you want in a single day and still execute a non-Traveller. - Evin

You're in luck! Ben plays quite a few of the games on stream as a player rather than the Storyteller. If you look for videos on our channel with 'Player Perspective' in the title, that's almost always Ben playing. - Evin

Absolutely. Characters whose abilities exclude Travelers have that specified in their description. Obviously, as you've already pointed out, you probably shouldn't turn the guy who needs to leave early into a Farmer. - Ben

I was wondering the same thing. Based on me reading most good he can do for the team is maybe removing an outsider ability.

I get it now. It’s really easy for a new Farmer to confirm the previous Farmer, and anytime a Good player can find a verifiable friend, that’s very powerful

That's a good question. If the Storyteller decides to use the Harlot's ability, then both the Harlot and the player who revealed to them die. It's always both players, it can't be one or the other. - Evin

@@BloodontheClocktower you might want to consider changing the wording from “both might” to “might both”. I know plenty of people who’d pick apart the grammar on that and play it as an either-or-both choice.

@@tammyboy2084 If someone wanted to pick apart that grammar they could come to that conclusion, but in the broader context of all roles in Clocktower then the language to denote that one could die without the other dying would instead be something like "but each of you might die". The phrase 'you both might die' can be split up into two sections - 'you both' and 'might die'. Taken in isolation, each of these discrete chunks still makes sense. 'You both' refers to the Harlot and the player they chose, as a collective, and 'might die' refers to the condition that applies to them. The suggested phrase 'you might both die', when split up the same way, leads to discrete chunks that don't make as much sense in isolation. To say 'you might both die' introduces the possibility of something potentially happening or not before it's clear which person or group (i.e. the Harlot as an individual, or the Harlot + the player they chose) that thing potentiality applies to. In a role where the ability affects other players in addition to the person with the role themselves, it's best to make clear, as soon as possible, that 'you' in the role description at this point is a plural 'you', and that it applies to more than just the singular 'you' that is the role itself. The phrases "you might both die" and "you both might die", in the Clocktower context, should lead players to more or less the same conclusion, and if there's ever any residual confusion then the almanac is there to clear things up, and the Storyteller will know how the role works and can answer any questions. There are many instances in Clocktower where a particular phrase or rule has two different interpretations that are both technically correct, but where one outcome is more intuitively arrived at than the other, given the whole context of the game and the other roles/rules surrounding the one in question. In these cases, we trust that most players will arrive at the more likely conclusion first, and in the small number of cases where they do not there is an almanac and a Storyteller there to make sure things are clear. This is a pretty long response that probably wasn't so necessary, but I was recalling the days of discussing all the different rules bugs that were raised by players after the Kickstarter, and discussions around minutiae like this were common and could go for thousands of words at a time. :) - Evin

I believe it's 12, which is the maximum number of Farmers you can have in play. Same goes for Legion. - Ben

Yep, that's correct. If the Traveller is good they learn nothing, and if they're evil they learn who the demon is when they enter the game. An evil Traveller will never learn any minions, and no players will learn the alignment of any Travellers. - Evin

I suppose, but having an alive good demon, and no evil demon like that is incredibly rare. And a Storyteller wouldn't (shouldn't) ever do something like that which just ends the game immediately. Edit: Actually, thinking about it... In that scenario the good team would have already won.... soooo
