Hi Laura and Aaron! WOW Aaron that drone shot was incredible! Thank you! The containers turned out really pretty. I love all of the caladiums you're trying out for next years release. I put 2 creeping wire vines, a Juncus corkscrew and a fiber optic grass in a container and am very happy with it. I love all 3 of the plants, but had never put them together in a pot. I'm glad you're have the oak trees removed. I know you would keep them if they were healthy. It was nice seeing Russell taking over a part of the video, too funny! 👀 🐈 😉 Thank you for sharing!

Pronunciation: Zhar-DIN-ee-air (soft "j" at the start) is the French pronunciation. There is also an English word spelled the same way and pronounced jar-duh-NEER. Hope that's helpful.
@mariankay6482
@mariankay6482 4 года назад
I thought it had more of a long A sound at the end. I went to my trusty translator and found that with the ie're it is an air sound and means "Planter". If it doesn't have the e at the end it ends with a long A sound and it means "Gardener". Now, Laura is even helping us learn French along the gardening path. Haha Have a blessed day! :)

Can not wait to see how it looks without those trees. My mom has the same issue with a different varieties oak tree that holds on to the leaves all winter and she hates them for the same reason. Jardinière has many meanings in French, and in this case it just means a pot to put plants in; how to pronounce it: jar-din-yair, the « j » sound is soft (zh) and the « a » sound is very open. Et voilà! Btw, I’m a Francophone, i.e. someone who’s mother tongue is French, and I know how difficult it is to pronounce French words correctly :). If in doubt about pronouncing anything, Forvo is a good site for this and has many languages. Hope this helps. I love your videos. They’re very inspiring. I used to have a nice perrenial garden but am now in a townhouse with no private backyard (it’s all common space for our condominium setup), so watching your videos is like gardening vicarious through you. Great shots with the drone, btw! Also, I’m in the province of Ontario, Canada, where our winters start early, are bitterly cold, with lots of snow, and last forever! This means that I am somewhat limited in what I can put in my planters. But I like to come up with all sorts of variations every spring and you give us all nice ideas! Keep up the good work!

You two make and amazing team. The quality of these videos just gets better and better. And of course, the content is stellar! Well done guys! Also, it'll be interesting to see the changes with the tree removal. I'm never happy to see a tree lost. They're such great guardians of our properties, but it happens. Laura's ability to imagine the bigger picture is sure to make a stunning impact on the new landscape! 😊

Dear Laura and Aron, thank you ever so much for your videos. Everything is beautiful that you do. You have so much influence on me and my garden here in Iceland, in that regard I now have 30 types of seeds that I will buy from ebay... Will do some experiments next year to see what will make it over here. Now the weather is getting pretty cool here, and some of my summer flowers have become fragile, but my petunias got to be 70 cm high, and that is impressive over here, they are still good and will be for a few weeks. I grow almost everything from seeds. Blessings from the iceberg in the north.
