This video inspired me not only in the use of the field kit, but also in creative thinking and problem solving in other contexts. Thank you for sharing your insights!
Scott Lukas at 31:26 you begin to say the button is worthless, may I inquire as to why? Being able to send human influenced pulses on demand to say the solenoid for percussion or sample triggering from say euro rack I would counter might enhance a performance. Also bought one recently and am loving it, your videos are really well thought out and great presentation format. Keep dropping that knowledge on us.
This video's been so helpful! Thanks. My water sensor is working fantastically to tune the radio. I'll try it with other stuff soon. The things this little box can do are pretty incredible. Your "I could do that for an hour" comment cracked me up. Same here!
Really got a lot from this. Just got my Field Kit a few days ago but didn’t really understand the sensors and switches, and this video totally blew the lid off. Just ordered a sensor/switch kit (I think the same one you used here), as well as some marbles and springs to start building some things with. But really excited to start messing with sensors and things to interact more with my modular via the Field Kit. I’d love to see a follow up video to this now that you’ve had more time to experiment. You mentioned a few times in this video having better luck doing these things with the 0-Coast. A new video using that or another piece of gear with more pronounced results would be ace. Still tho, fantastic stuff. Liked and subscribed.
Thank you for this video, it is very informative. I have wanted to explore the sensor block on my field kit but never really understood what I could do with it or what I needed. Thanks to you, now I know and I have some ideas to get started. 😄
Hey I got the sensor pack for the soil moisture sensor on your recommendation, but I can't see the circuit you're talking about to plug it into, and it's missing in the CD guide that comes with the pack, can anyone send me a picture of what it should look like?
Thanks for reaching out, sorry about that, there are quite a few soil sensors available, here is an example. I bought a multi-back of sensors and it came with it. www.amazon.com/Capacitive-Moisture-Corrosion-Resistant-Detection/dp/B07SYBSHGX/ref=sxin_15_ac_d_rm?ac_md=0-0-c29pbCBzZW5zb3I%3D-ac_d_rm_rm_rm&cv_ct_cx=Soil+sensor&keywords=Soil+sensor&pd_rd_i=B07SYBSHGX&pd_rd_r=aad9bb05-5603-402a-8a24-4086a1a7c543&pd_rd_w=ujLsq&pd_rd_wg=6rTgx&pf_rd_p=4ddd8e40-6b01-4726-9d0f-a100f252099e&pf_rd_r=FKDXRVR1B10V6XAFMD10&psc=1&qid=1638210047&sr=1-1-12d4272d-8adb-4121-8624-135149aa9081
You do a really great presentation, its completely different than i usually watch, like mostly talking, which is great but you seem awesome, id love to have a whiskey with you sometime, or whatever you drink
