Actually i have completed mbbs degree 1 year ago and i was practising as an house surgeon but i want to go for gynae and obs course in uk .what should I do now if i want to do gynae and obs from uk??
Heloo sir🙏 iam a post mbbs and have nearly 2 years experience in obg department.I would like to knw about whether plab or mrcog which one will be better for me?
Hello Doctor. Hope you're well. Thank you for such an informative video. I completed my internship in Jan 2021 and due to covid but my PLAB 1 exam got delayed so I was able to give it this year in August. I'll be doing PLAB 2 next year in May but meanwhile can I give MRCP part 1 in my country. Does it give any added advantage during job hunting if I have cleared both parts of PLAB plus MRCP part 1. Can I apply for core training job through this? Thanks again for all the guidance.
Ok sir, what is the scope of MD Microbiology (Indian degree) in UK and Ireland? What exam should I write to get employed in UK or Ireland? Is there any other procedure sir?
Sir what is the best time for an Indian medical graduate to take up the IELTS examination, who wishes to pursue his MD from India and pass the MRCP steps during his MD training. And would you kindly please list out the best IELTS resources(free and paid)
The best time for IELTS is after completing MRCP. There is a time limit of 2yrs for the IELTS certificate to remain valid. To pass IELTS, you may watch RU-vid videos and practice from the free book you will get after booking the exam. British council runs IELTS courses in all major cities. Nowadays there are personalized coaching available online but I don't think it's needed.
Hello Sir, i just found this video and i want to say thank you very much for this valuable information. I am a fresh IMG, and i have no clinical experience or intenship yet, What do you advice is my best next course of action?
Hello Sir, I'm a fresh MBBS passout, as i could book Plab 1 dates in Feb 24 due to my delay in intership completion, I've opted for September 22 MRCS Part A to take up part 2 in early 2023 & get registered via MRCS route , will i be able to apply for SHO jobs & get into core surgical training through this route, or will i be overqualified for SHO jobs & Core Surgical Training?
I am preparing for my neet pg right now. But i want to do my specialty training from UK. I plan to give mrcp or equivalent exam during my pg. What my doubt is, that can i get into speciality training directly after mrcp/mrcs, or i need to work as junior doctor for some time. I read that you require some certificates of alternative core competency to be eligible for st-3 training. How can i get that certificate. What else will be required. Lastly what are the odds of getting a specialty training in UK in cardiology/ urology aur equivalent super speciality branches. Is it tough or we can get it easily. Thanking you in advance
The following video answers your question. Cardiology is difficult but possible, urology is almost impossible.ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-UeaD-lzSyT4.html
I get just finished my MBBS exams and want to do mrcp becuase my intership will take atleast a year and i wanna benefit for the time being and do the exam is it possible ?? And does it need ilets for part 1
Sir I have completed my post graduate diploma in child health DCH from JJ hospital Mumbai before 3years ,and also have 12 year's experience as medical officer in govt hospital in Maharashtra, which exam is better for me to get GMC registration and job in UK I also have 3years experience in pediatrics in govt hospital Please guide me,, if you don't mind please send me your contact number
Hey doctor. Thanks a lot for your videos. One question sir, I just got graduated from med school , my Plab 1 exam is only next year. I have some time now to do Junior residency, and I got offer from ped surgery department. IF i take that job offer,,Will that affect me anyway when I apply jobs when I reach uk as my ambition is to become a OBGYN in Uk ?
Hello sir nice video.. I've completed my UG in India and I want to do my post graduation in Uk How often is it possible to come and visit home (india). ..like from busy schedule, working hours there...
Sir..i have secured a decent rank inthe recent neet pg exam..I'm desperate to go abroad and work ..which speciality should i choose so that my road to uk becomes a little bit easier ?
Hello sir. Thank you for these wonderful videos. I have completed my MD in internal medicine last year. My plan is to move to Middle East in the future. Or do you think UK is a better option? What would you suggest as the best plan? Should I go ahead with MRCP so that I have a good option in both places if I complete that? Your advise would mean a lot. Thank you
Many doctors from gulf countries come to UK for training and British passport and then return back.money is higher in gulf than UK but not much scope for career progression
I am pursuing MD Pedia from Govt Med college. Is it sufficient to take PLAB only if I want to practise as pediatrician in UK? Or is it mandatory to clear MRCP?
Hello, Dr Suman thanks for the useful videos… I have query, I’m currently in 2nd year of DM in neuroanesthesia and I’m planning to give FRCA, and migrate to UK if everything goes according to my plan.. please tell me advantages and disadvantages of migrating.. Thanks in advance
The main disadvantage will be you might get stuck in a registrar grade job without being a consultant. Advantage is that you can get a job in your own specialty in a good cardiac centre. This will be excellent experience
Hello. Its been 4 years i have passed MBBS and internship in India and have been working as a medical officer at Apollo Hospital in the dept of Clinical Hematology and BMT unit. Due to some personal reasons I couldn’t study for NEETPG. I wish to study Clinical Hematology in UK. What would be the right exam for me to write at this stage and subsequently to become a Clinical Hematologist?
PLAB, IMT training, MRCP and then enter into Haematology training. Alternatively: MRCP, alternatice core competency certificate and then apply for Haematology. www.rcpath.org/discover-pathology/careers-in-pathology/train-to-work-in-pathology/training-in-haematology.html
Hello sir , MRCP is an exam equivalent to PG degree in india with a lot more clinical exposure... My question is which are the subjects offered in MRCP ? Is it only offer internal medicine or also offer cardiology, neurology, nephrology etc which are taught as DM courses in India? Can anyone do MRCP on cardiology and practice here in India as a cardiologist ?
hello sir i have a simple question That after completing mbbs in india then after plab getting gmc regestration in uk and doing pg in uk after that am i able to go back india and practice in india
Sir kindly help me in whether I should pursue plab or mrcgp since I have finished postgraduation in family medicine from India and would love to work as a gp only
I am not aware of these courses but if they charge huge amounts of money compared to pastest/passmedicine, then avoid them.its best to buy courses from UK based providers who are experienced in these exams.
hi dr suman i want to know is it difficult for an indian to become a consultant in nhs i read that in one of your replies and if yes what are the reasons and how can we go about it .thank you. and also my main aim is anesthesia after mbbs so is it hard to get this branch in uk
To become a consultant in NHS ,everyone have to fulfill the GMC criteria. The criteria is not different for an Indian doctor or any IMGs. Anaesthesia is a competitive branch but I have 2 Indian colleagues and anaesthesists who are currently in UK training. So its not impossible.
Hello sir , I’ve finished my internship this Feb and I want to be a trauma and orthopedic surgeon . As the plab route take a very long path to join ST3( as I can only give plab on august 23 and plab 2 by I don’t know when and then FY2,ct1,ct2) instead can I finish neet pg and do MS ortho and meanwhile finish MRCS and then join ST3? Which one do you suggest ? Thanks in advance sir 🙌
@@SumanPaulDoc Hello sir, Nikhil here. By this you mean there is a better chance of getting specialist training in ortho after MS ortho in india followed by MRCS? As in, it is more difficult to enter ortho training after plab?
Can u plz tell me if someone is doing pg training in general medicine after MRCP can do training in some Allied medicine like pulmonology, cardiology etc
Hi DR Suman I am doing FEM course in India right now considering the plab scenarios and I hvnt even given a step would it wise for me to focus on mrcem pathway since dates aren’t issue for that both would take approx 2 years since for plab dates are an issue Kindly guide for the same thanks
Hi Dr I am now doing DrNB medical oncology after completing MD radiotherapy. I wanted to know about speciality certificate examination in medical oncology, and the job prospects in UK with it... What designation can I add if i clear this exam?
Can a person doing MD in Community Medicine apply for MRCP exam? Currently a 2nd year post graduate resident of md community Medicine from Delhi in India should go for PLAB or MRCP
Hello sir i am going to enter my final year mbbs from India, i want to have a surgical branch in uk so is it possible for an Indian to have a surgical branch for indians and what is the success rate of getting one? Further which route is better to opt MRCS or PLAB?
It's definitely possible with careful planning to enter the surgical branch. PLAB will maximize your chances rather than MRCS.Check out the competition ratio video. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_d48k7JY14E.html
Hello Dr Suman .... I graduated 1 n 1/2 year back and till then finished my compulsory rural service of 1 year ....but was unlucky in English ielts hence got a may 2023 plab 1 slot instead of this year ..... I'm frustrated over the fact that my uk residency will get delayed and there's lot of uncertainty as well .... should i change my plan of plab and write neet pg and then think of moving to uk ...after finishing my pg in India or stick to plab path ???? thank-you ...do reply
Even if you clear the next NEETPG, you cant start residency before 2023. There is no right or wrong answer and you have to decide for yourself.your PG is of no use in uk, so why spent another 3 yrs in india?
@@SumanPaulDoc okay sir ....u did respiratory medicine here and then left to uk and joined at a higher post right ? Like ST 3 maybe ? Can i do something like that
Sir ,I have done DCH in india , what do u suggest ? Taking MRCPCH will help me ?and if I am going via Plab route , how do I get to ST3 level without MRCPCH?
Dada mrcp india theke kore ki gastroenterologist hote parbo uk te...plab to onek deri hoche khulte...please guide...final goal uk te settle kora as a consultant...5 yrs post mbbs no pg done.
PLAB is always an option. Infectious diseases on the other hand is medical specialty but that might be difficult without any previous clinical training
@@SumanPaulDoc Thank you! We have a FRCPATH Medical Microbiology & Virology exam (part 1 & 2). Do u suggest doing PLAB and Part 1 FRCP MM as a good idea for going into Medical Microbiology speciality. I mean can the MD Micro experience plus FRCP MM part 1 help me get into a Medical Microbiology job in NHS?
@@skhan4949 its definitely helpful to complete FRCP exams both for jobs and career progression. Your MD experience will help you for the exam. But these exams are not going to offer you GMC registration - that's why you need PLAB.Also make sure that you match the experience eligibility for FRCP exams.
Dada they say plab is the safest way to become consltant in uk...is it true?mrcp kore ele ki suddenly uk rules change kor dite pare and consultant howa bondho hoye jete pare?
Hello sir I have done MD in GP and EM from nepal and interested in MRCP will it be better for me and how could i be involved in online courses of MRCP from nepal....
Hi, You are eligible to take MRCP but are you sure you don't want to pursue EM or GP in the UK?Because both of these specialities dont need MRCP. I will post about the MRCP course in my youtube channel when its ready.
Hello Dr. Paul, can anybody from India having MBBS and MRCP degree get job in UK ? Is it possible to avail online job interview from India? Kindly clarify Thanks
Hello doctor suman, thank you for your informations in the video. Please clarify my doubt... I am a nephrologist in India, recently completed my DrNB in nephrology. I was looking for fellowship trainings in uk for interventions. The fellowship sponsoring organisation mentions I should have "license to practice " in uk for training in the fellowship. Does it mean GMC registration, how can I get GMC registration? I am preparing for mrcp, only for the degree but not for working permanently in uk. Will clearing mrcp exams help me get gmc registration and license, for my fellowship. Or should I undergo training again in uk in medicine or nephrology? If so as what, like a medicine or nephrology trainee or as registrar job, and how long the training could be?. please let me know. thank you.
MRCP will give you GMC registration and licence to practice. This should be enough for your fellowship. Whether you want to do training or not- that's a different discussion.
Hello sir. I'm currently second year mbbs student pursuing from ESI medical College,India. Sir my college has one year bond after internship. So after internship I have to work one more year . Sir is this equivalent to FY1 and FY2 ? After clearing plab can I directly register for GMC?
Sir I have just started my training in intern medicine 1 week back ..I want ro do specialiazation in dermatology...should I gor for Plab or MRCP? If I go for MRCP Will I be able to get training in dermatology in UK? Plzz sir reply🥺
Hello Doctor, I graduated with MBBS at China last year but I am currently doing my postgraduate studies, I’m planning to go for the MRCP part 1 before I finish my PG program, my question is I don’t know if I am eligible for the part 1 mrcp exams.
Sir my pg rank is on lower side. I can get MD on Anaesthesia with this rank. I want to clear MRCP exam as it has lots of value in corporate and private practice. Is it possible to crack MRCP simultaneously with my MD preparation in Anaesthesia??
@@SumanPaulDocsir am an anaesthetist/intensivist from india on dependent visa... since am unemployed i cant take frca exam. So can i take mrcp exam? Is 3 months enough to prepare for part 1

Congratulations, clinical attachment করলে ভালো হয়। চাকরি তে খুব লাভ হয় না যদিও। যদি অন্য experience থাকে তবে না করলেও চলে। আমি নিজে attachment korini কখনো।
Very nice video sir.. Sir I am an intern right now..I really want to do my post graduation in UK and want to take up plab.. I have failed a couple of times during my MBBS University exams and passed them in second attempt due to health issues... Will I be rejected in interviews and jobs in uk due to this?? Is it risky for me to take up plab as I have bad mbbs scores? I really want to study hard from now on.. Please honestly reply sir!! I don't want to waste my money 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Internship is required for GMC registration for licence to practice, not for PLAB. www.gmc-uk.org/registration-and-licensing/join-the-register/registration-applications/application-registration
Thank you sir. I did do clerkship in my college but that doesn’t count according to gmc, as far as i know, and I already graduated as an fmg so now do i have to do internship in my home country again for me to get gmc registration after i pass my plab ? Or if i just do 1 year of job and that is sufficient?
Hi Dr. Suman, I am pursuing 1st year MD Dermatology in India. After MRCP will I be eligible to work as a Dermatologist in the U.K. Your valuable guidance as to how to go about this is highly appreciated. Thanks
