Yea that Bears Thursday Rams games after Packers Bills looks like we might have to give up 1 ... If the injuries to days of rest correlation trends in all the wrong directions, I would consider that bad ... At least we have a bye in the middle of the season

After looking at it and considering a few things I don't really think we're the worst schedule. Yeah we do play some heavy hitters, but if you want to be the best you got to beat the best so why worry? On top of that, the one thing I can really say is a problem is the fact that we're going to face so many teams coming off of bye weeks.

How much is it because the Niners are on short rest tho? Playing 4 teams coming off their bye will skew numbers, but if Niners are on their normal rest, then I don't think it's a big deal.

The Ravens also play 3 games in 10 days so i don't think rest helps them honestly..

Niners play the AFC east so obviously they would have more travel time. It's the way the cookie crumbled this year. Funny I never heard any one talk about rest time until this year.

The 49ers has the ‘rest advantage’ in both home playoff games and looked like the more tired team in both those games. This is a little overblown IMO. If you think a player is in danger because of overuse and lack of rest, sit him a game. That is why you have depth. And, the 49ers did get the buy week right in the middle of the season, which is preferable. Always the negative doomsday stuff in the off season.

Interesting factual evidence there, but the term "equity" or "equitable" has no place in the United States. That's communist/socialist terminology. There will always be a geographical disadvantage for the teams of the west b/c of the sheer distance in flight travel. The AFC currently is the stronger conference, and you don't see fringe playoff teams complaining that they would be much better if they were in the weaker NFC.
