36:00 Self-made Harpy with a casual Multistrike 14. That is an absolute runender right there if you didn't have specifically a sap-build. Imagine running Umbra with damage shield shenanigans and Harpy with 15 hits and stealth shows up.
"These spikes are going to do so much work" - you're running a sap build? "I wish I could have pivoted to cold channel" - again, you're running a sap build and your only self ping is flash freeze Regardless of your strange desire for things that only trigger when your units get hit while playing a sap build, I really enjoyed this run! It was such a fun build.
Go back and watch how many enemies killed themselves on Spikes in this run before my Sap build was fully busted. Then remember that I have Flash Freeze in my deck, could shoot my own Coldchannel, and could use that to apply 400 Frostbite to a floor.
this challenge is actually where i used direchannel for the first and only time since it ignores stealth. In retrospect though, cold channel ahieves the same thing but is also just way more wide use
I have no idea what is going on through half this run. Lodestone totem, while insanely strong and game-winning by itself, makes every other choice in the run extremely questionable. What do the restoration detonations even do when your units are always at full health until relentless? What do restore and wildsap do when the regen runs out guaranteed before the sap? What do spikes do in this same situation?
Lodestone Totem is slow early, especially when you could just draw 2 Deadweights and 2 Train Stewards for your final turn against a boss. Not planning with contingencies in-mind for bad Relentless draws against non-floating bosses is asking to have Monster Train RNG kill you. By the end, sure, I think I could've clicked any spell and won. If you're asking why I upgraded my starting cards like Restoration Detonation it's like.. sure, I might have won without doing so, but intentionally forgoing a major part of your power budget is a bad habit for a series where I'm trying to teach good habits.
I know, but I wanted to play Solgard on the floor, and 2 Totems + Solgard = 4 space. If I had taken the Restoring Retreat earlier on, I think we could've done it, but I had no way of knowing.
