Generally instructional gaming videos by an (actual) rocket scientist focused on analytical gameplay, how to get better, and different ways of playing strategy-based games.
Clarivoyant, I find, is the most difficult to wrap my head around the unique mechanics, which makes it weaker for me than Star Captain. Sure, Captain is not that strong single-player, but it's at least easier to grasp and intuit the usage. Having your orb as separate from your character is something I struggle with leveraging properly.
Haven't watched the episode yet, but wanted to say that after watching your Inkbound series I decided to give it a try. I bought it, played a few games (lost most, except thorns Obelisk run) and I am having fun. So thx for recording this.
Nice job. I was pretty happy to score into the top 10. I did the architect with a sweeper and an alloy construct. Mostly played them on the same floor but split them up a few times. Was also thinking most of the run 'this won't be a high score' since I had to do top floor kills fairly often but managed to get 7th (at the time). I definitely could have scored better if I had taken the artifact to get the money plus I bought a few things that ended up not being impactful in the long run.
i just played a normal architect + shadoweater infused quadruple striking construct. 62k so not as high a score but very confident i took double ember and used focused growth for draw lol. completely sent it on a -2 grovel and ended up removing the void binding actually
I basically view Glutton as shitty harvest rector. Solve relentless, but you need an actual line. In my experience Rector hits lower numbers, but needs a lot less support than penumbra does. Rector basically just needs an endless tomb or imp. Penumbra needs either winged techology, daze support, or a sap line. Double gorge triggers also doesnt hurt. Theres also the issue of penumbra competing with other, stronger morsel payouts.
a really long time mt fan, i would really like more trainwreck videos, basically the only video type i watch in ur channel as ive now seen u as "the high shards guy" (no offense on your other contents ofc, i just like voyix's normal run better since they are very fast compared to your normal video length (im chowing down his back logs at this point)) i watch your videos when i have 3 hours to myself, so theyre kind of a treat for me on weekends or long breaks, just hoping u could pump more of them haha since im going to run out pretty soon
I make one every week! Trainwreck is tied with Train of Thought for my most popular series so it'll always be around, but I think my normal series is pretty well-separated from Voyix that there isn't much overlap in how we're playing.
morsel master with morsel-made is just double/triple your scaling on the morselmade whithout most of the downsides, but that is more of a "win more" thing. if you see morsel-made you have already basically won 80% of the time
1st turn of divinity, I think you can get more dmg by ignoring the mollusmage and going Tethys top, play urchin spines and crypt builders there for discount and you get a much bigger waxen spike, not done the maths though I don’t think it’ll be enough for first turn kill anyway but not sure, pretty unreal score though lol this must be close to the nuts with max shards, lots of money and FTK ing almost every boss 😂😂 If you’re going for max score is there an argument for going for the paraffin thug line/ taking memorial fund early? I was thinking given how strong we were anyway if we’re literally going for max score it maybe would’ve worked better going all in on a money farming line Great video though keep up the good work this was extremely satisfying to watch tbh 😂😂
I guess fight 4 shows how a basic Nameless Siren keeps up in damage with a self infused Siren of the sea + some Perils. Kinda nuts, never thought about this in my way too many hours in this game. But 20 vs 80 HP, myup, that's also a factor Also XD on Immortal Trade.
I like the interaction between Eternal Flame Fade and Mark of a Champion, might have to consider that the next time it pops up for me. That Perils was a bait is wild but hey, that's Monster Train.
I really like this series, and I hope you continue weaving Inkbound in with your normal Monster Train content. I doubt I'd ever play Inkbound, but I do enjoy watching your content. You do a good job of seeing combos that might otherwise get overlooked, yet still make for compelling content and solid runs.
An actual true cursed seed, kudos to the submitter! Also, should have kept both curses at the end to end on 1 pyre health because, at that point, why not?
It would've been worse, right? I only had the ability to scale a single Coldcaelia, so the other would've been worse than just having the Guard in the first place (which Incants for more armor).
You skipped the steel shop in ring four to look at the Wyrmkin banner instead (with the removal/dupe). Presumably that's where OP's Multistrike came from.
If you took the Coldcaelia every time it was shown and copied it 5 times with the cave, you would have 8 Colcaelias and they could start a band. Idk how that would help beating the divinity, tho.
When you said 60 damage blocked by Damage Shield 3, were you specifically referring to Divinity at high shards? Just trying to figure out how you got that high of a number.
I do wonder if there is a specific reason not to put Shark into Heff, given you didn't already have Endless. Heff's ability to increase the floor size every turn can be useful for excrss Morsels.
