Physical death is NOT extinction of being. It means intensification of suffering for those whose sins have not been forgiven. Have you never heard of the 'lake of fire', where the impenitent will be confined at the end of history? You seem pretty coherent. Do not hide your talent in the ground, as did the wicked servant in Jesus' parable. You could be of service, speaking up on behalf of victims of psychiatric abuse. If you conceive of the universe as being God, then I suppose that everything happens as it ought, by definition. But if the universe was created by a righteous and loving God Who permits His creatures considerable freedom of action, then those creatures may choose to rebel against Him. When their creaturely wills rub up against His moral will and the physical laws which He has set in motion, there are going to be some disastrous consequences. However, He did not abandon us entirely to our own devices, being the loving God that He is. He has set in motion a redemptive plan (if you will) which provides a way of escape from disaster, for those who are willing to repent (i.e. 'change mind'). I hate to sound arrogant or high and mighty but no matter how you slice it promoting and encouraging a mentally ill person to commit suicide is evil. People suffer from mental health issues all the time. Everyone has feelings of anxiousness, restlessness, depression, or whatever else at some point. Many people suffer from these for years and it affects them far more than 60% of the day. But they get help. They see a psychiatrist, counselor, talk to a family member, talk to God, etc, and they get better. Unfortunately they still might be constantly reminded of these past traumas that led them to suicidal thoughts in the first place but again they’ll get better and they’ll be reminded that ending it all is not the answer and that there IS so much to live for. God is good and loving. He loves you, cares for you, wants to do great things through you, and wants to see you have faith in him and accept him as your Lord and Savior so you can live with him for eternity. But again like I said he wants to use you to do great things on this earth and I truly hope and pray you receive him and do great great things for his glory. We believe everyone should have the right to choose euthanasia. If this choice is not allowed, it is unjust. Most importantly, every person should have the right to decide when to leave this world. It is risky to base law on such shaky and SUBJECTIVE criteria. What do you mean by 'rational'? Do you suppose that Reason is an infallible guide into all Truth? When most people regard their own opinions as rational and conflicting ones as irrational. Again, subjectivity reigns. God's Law is clear: DO NOT MURDER. Therefore suicide is morally reprehensible, no different from killing one's own neighbor because one SUPPOSES that he has suffered 'enough'. How do you quantify suffering anyway? Besides, if you destroy yourself you may cause hurt to others which stays with them their whole lives.

Ignore the comment about god not forgiving your sins that someone left. I just want to tell you I was in your place when I was 17. I was convinced that my only option, in order to end my suffering, was death. I tried multiple times, and a lot of my friends succeeded with their attempts. I’m 19 today, and although I still feel like shit and suffer every day and night, I’m not as convinced as I was when I was younger. “It gets better” is terrible advice, I know because I hate it when people say it to me, but please stay here a little longer and see how your life turns out. Being a teenager is the worst part of life, and you only have a few years left as a teen. You might not ever be cured of your illness, but you can find ways to live with them. You soon have your worst years behind you, and you’ve already survived 100% of your worst days. Stay strong, and keep holding on ♡

One assumes that life is only 'worth living' under certain conditions imposed by MAN, preferably by those 'in the know', by 'scientific experts'. If justifications may be discovered on allegedly 'compassionate' grounds, SO MUCH THE BETTER. Perhaps we want to relieve the duration or intensity of suffering. Perhaps we want to improve the 'general lot' of society by removing from circulation those individuals who are TOO TROUBLESOME to look after! Germany did not go straight to the gas chambers and ovens of the Holocaust. They began by rounding up mentally infirm children of good German stock in institutions and putting them to sleep with overdoses of sedative drugs. This they were careful to hide from the German population. In North America we have prepared the ground for 40 years by accepting and then virtually 'sanctifying' the unholy cause of abortion-on-demand. In theory, a woman's right to 'choose' is at stake, yet a would-be future generation, half of them female, is never consulted------------------well, excluding them is the point. But what wrong have THEY committed? On 'humane' pretext, society has found a simple way to avoid inconvenient distinctions between rape victims and women involved with sexually irresponsible men, men who should pay for upkeep of their offspring. Then we had the debate over terminally ill patients, most of them elderly. Arguments against hope and against sanctity of life prevailed. Now we are dealing with a class of individuals who receive poor care from the psychiatric system but are physically intact and, judging from some of their statements, functioning on on quite a high level intellectually. They still have a lot to offer, yet they are consumed with bitterness over their lot in life. So if we are going to 'let go' of these people, to give up on them simply because they have given up on themselves, WHAT NEXT? Surely this is not the end-point of our collective ETHICAL DEBASEMENT. Perhaps the next step is to look into facilities for the mentally infirm, especially wards of the State--------------people who may be UNABLE to give or to withhold consent to life-ending procedures. After all, the costs of their maintenance can be remarkably high. I know an individual now in care who was coherent enough to express fear about this eventuality, perhaps 10 years ago. Are we so morally 'superior' as a society, that we are incapable of arriving at the point where Nazis began to implement their gruesome legacy? I wouldn't be overly confident if I were you.
