Hands down this has way more features than stetson taramps both no bluetooth. Outstanding Video. Got one. It just has more features period. For the price Im blown away. Should have gotton the 8 channel model instead of 6 channel.

@@chijiokeakil2264 I don't think so, the only other DSP I've had experience with was the Dayton DSP with the Bluetooth add-on, that one I know you could play music through the phone or table.
I agree! These DSP are great and even I did not hear anything about them for years until recently I just happened to stumble upon one. They are great pieces of equipment!
Hey what’s up? Thanks for this video it helps a little more. I think you should do more videos on this product on how to use the settings a little bit more in details. There’s a lot of people out there that will appreciate the English version on all this. If you can explain more in details about each settings on what they can do and use for and how to set them up. Thanks again and looking forward to see these updates.
Also I get lost of trouble to long in from the app with the password. 90% of the time it keeps saying invalid password. Have you find out away to bypass this or to fix it.
@@HiFiVector great video. I have that same dsp install on my car, some profesional installed but they don't Know how to tune up the Gain. When they installed I have a lot static coming out of the speaker because the gain in the amp is too high. Do u have a idea how to set up the gain?
Been running these in both my cars for year also told my cousin to get one. Love it this is the first english video i ever saw i gave up a year ago. Lol nice vid!
Delay is to align a rear speaker that’s out of sync with the front to tighten the sound (you would delay your fronts to make the rears more in phase/tight Would be useful the larger the vehicle is… at extremes you would hear doubling … could also delay the passenger speaker to the drivers .. out of phase speakers will kill bass (most noticeably)
Do you have them both in one system, if so did you run from the out on one to the other? I'm thinking about getting a second one to run my rear and subs through it and the front speakers on the other.
Hey bro. I've been using this DSP for over a year now and just learned something. I was playing with my system and had only the sub going with a podcast playing. I heard the words through my sub and was like what the hell. Crossed it over down to 30 Hz and could still hear words. The crossover on this thing can't be trusted bro. So I tested further. Played at 40 Hz tone and my door speakers were trying to play it. Buzzing. I have them crossed at 150 Hz. Check it out yourself. Imma try a Dayton. I love the features on this thing but I can't run it anymore. I ordered another off Amazon just to see and it's the same way. Plus it lets a little noise in the system. I tried a good Newmar noise filter on it and it still had noise. I mean for the price you can't expect perfection. A good starter DSP nonetheless. Thanks for your videos bro. You rock!
Can help me out Problem I’m having is i have a EQ from my head unit so from the EQ I have it down to the DSP and then I go to connect my speakers amp to dsp it works but when I connect horns and sub amps into dsp doesnt work ?
Maybe check your output configuration to the outputs of your sub and horn channels. crossover ers and also check to be sure you don't have the channels muted.
Hello how is it going, first of all I just want to thank you for showing us all this great product.. I was reading reviews for it on Amazon and someone gave it 1 star ⭐ and claims it adds alternator wine . Have you ever noticed if this adds any noise on the lines..? Thank you for your help!
@@HiFiVector ok cool I see you already answered me the same question I just asked. Thank you! From this to the newer one you did which one is the best and that does more from this to the newer stepsom you just reviewed..?
Hey there love the video. I purchased a stesom 2448. Not happy need to control each individual channel for delay. Would you say this is tge correct choice??
Can someone tell me some information/specs in layman's terms on a US Amp 4300x. It's also connected to a "bridgeable" (connected?) 1000 watt amp with a capacitor and a 6 channel line output converter. Thanks
Do you have any idea what the difference is between this and the x8air? I can't find any info on the x8air. Also on this would you need 2 for front and rear output off the head unit?
The x8air you must use the app . No buttons on unit. It has only 1 band custom eQ per output. ( px2 has 3 ) the x8air main difference is it has 2 pair inputs with right and left channels so you can keep your balance and fader control. On your head unit. Those are the main differences I can see. You just need one pair of rca from your head unit for the px2.
I am running 4 channels front L & R and back L & R, plus a mono amp for 2 10 inch subwoofers, I guess it would be a total of 5 channels. How would I use the routing for each channel? Especially the 1 channel for 2 subs, thanks
thanks, that video answered the routing but created a brain freeze on the crossover and types. I have my current crossover at 120hz and sometimes use 80hz. This dsp looks confusing with the crossover adjustments
Quick question no do you know if my head unit output to this is 2 volts through the RCA and I increase the gain on one channel will it increase the output voltage too that RCA? I need to hit 5 v for my amplifier input sensitivity. I've also read that taramps like to have their gain turned up a little bit. So in your opinion should I leave the input voltage to the a little bit lower? And also my smart3bass amp will not allow you to turn the crossovers off so should I turn the high pass filter all the way down and the low pass filter all the way up in order to use this DSP crossover? Thanks for your time
Yes it will boost voltage slightly so if you want to keep the voltage on the output rca’s T a certain voltage turn up to mace listening head unit volume and check the output from the DSP and adjust the gain to where it stays where you’d want it. From what I remember at max output gain it boosted a 2v rca input to around 5v. And yes the taramps seem to do better with a lower voltage input signal. Around 2 volts . You can go higher or lower some guys run like 7 volts and some 1.5v but to me they do better with lower input voltage so you can turn the amp gain knob up more. High voltage makes them “ jumpy”.
Hi Vector ii have a few questions if you could help me . First off thanks for the review on this PX2 this maybe what i have been looking for. I have a head unit with dsp, but its limited and my opinion it dont sound so great. So i can hook up the PX2 and just not use the dsp in my head unit ? I have 2 front door speakers, 2 rear speakers and 2 tweeters on the front pillar, and i have a 4 channel jbl amp. Im guessing this unit is going to improve my sound over my stock head unit dsp ? Does it have the ability to do speaker timing delay ?
The Px2 connect and px2R are both good but the px2R has a cleaner output signal at higher output voltage both are good but I’d pick the Px2R. Also the audiopipe clean DSP-app is nice as well.
This thing looks like a bargain for what you get. Almost worth the price JUST for the Xover and Bluetooth app. Pretty amazing that they offer such accurate slopes and cutoff levels, etc. The sad part is, my $600 DSP has a bluetooth app AND requires a bluetooth adapter which alone costs more than this whole DSP. I'm gonna try one for giggles.
You would just do it the same way you were checking your main RCA‘s from your head unit but now you’re gonna be checking them on the outputs of the DSP. And you can set your gains directly on the DSP accordingly to get it clean max volume.
This has more adjustability for sure. But the Pioneer is a good basic DSP plus the Pioneer has a built in amp to replace your head unit power for your door speakers if you need that then its good but otherwise the Expert or comparable DSP is more tweakable.
I'm confused on how to hook this thing up. I have 2 sets of rca coming from factory radio. One for subs amp and one for mids. How do I run both sets to the dsp ?
Do you use 1 pair of FULL RANGE RCA's from the head unit to INPUT on the DSP? And from that you get full sound even the subwoofer sound? My head unit has 3 pairs of RCA's and one of those pairs is a dedicated sub output. and use DEFEAT or else set everything to 0 on head unit? Also, is the AudioControl Epicenter still useable on the sub output to the sub amp ? Thanks, maybe somebody else has these questions too. 😃
the DSP controls all the channels so you would not use the factory sub output. You would just use the 2 main RCA in and then configure the DSP to output the sub channel.
@@HiFiVector you went to the trouble to make the video, I'll order from your link . Hey, those L and R inputs, that's both from the Front? In other words you wouldn't use right FRONT and left REAR, JUST USe right and left front rca from head unit ( could be rear but I'm saying front to keep it simple) So long as it's full range signal
Correct on this DSP with only 2 rca inputs you would do it that way. Then use the DSP for everything even levels like fader for front rear with your levels on the DSP.
Any suggestions on how to get to gets customer support? There is absolutely no way I would recommend this item just because it is an act of God to be able to get customer support or find out any information on this thing. It has been absolutely frustrating and a waste of my time. I understand when it works it is amazing apparently but that is if you can get it to work
Yeah, I’m not sure on the support but the Bluetooth should be pretty straightforward to connect but again some problems might just depend on the phone you’re using maybe? Because usually it’s pretty straightforward. Sometimes there is a delay where it might take a minute to connect. I have heard people say also make sure that you’re not connected to any other Bluetooth device just the DSP.
Yeah I thought maybe I got a bad one so I ordered another one have the same issue. I've tried 3 different phones to different px2s. Made sure that no other Bluetooth is connected. When I open up the app it doesn't even show that it is searching for anyting. Still have not been able to get a lick of customer support.
Does your app still look the same as it doesn't your video? Mine has a slightly different layout but looks pretty similar but they have 20 different apps. According to the about app paragraph then the one I am using is for mine. Idk. I'm so freaking frustrated with this thing. Thank you for your help and time.
@@HiFiVector I've been trying to find a website I can't find that either lol the most I could find is that the px-8.2 has 8 channels and 2 inputs with a 15 band eq while the px-2 has 6 channels and 28 band eq. It seems like the px-8.2 is the newer model so I really wanted to know if it had newer features but I think I'll just stick with the model that you have since there is no videos (in English atleast) about the new model. Thanks anyways bro.
It looks like the px2 has more frequencies on the parametric EQ and has more customizable channels. So they are very similar but px2 has a little more presets and larger EQ.
This has 6 controllable outputs. They can be configured MONO or you can output them as left and right as a pair. So if you had them all set as stereo outputs then there would be 3 outputs. But it is customizable. There is also 1 pair ( Left / right ) pass thru outputs. ( where they are outputs but not running on DSP ) . So it just depends on how many and how your amps are set up. for example you could set it up to where you use 1 mono or stereo output for your sub amp , and you can have 2 stereo outputs for 2 full range amps. You can use any combination of the output channels.
Check out my in-depth video that I did a little while back. But the output voltage on the RCA’s since the Dsp is adjustable that voltage is somewhat adjustable. And you still need to provide the Dsp RCA preamps from your head unit. Or you can use a line out converter and tap off your speakers.
@@HiFiVector it shows up in my phone Bluetooth to connect but when I click to pair it tries for like a minute then quits. It doesn't even show up as an option in the app. Help?
Love the video bro can you guide me in the best setting for my tweeters I have 6 on a 600 watt Amp and I keep blowing them just would like a hp and lp frequency staring point
@@RcMarlin part of it depends on the range of the tweeters and also how high your mids can go to . But usually, 3 to 5K hz low cutoff is good. But again depends on the tweeter and mid specs. on the high 18-20K is good.( you really cant hear over 18K hz)
@HiFiVector jbl st400/and plyle pro 300 on a 600 watt Amp i just need to know the frequency for best performance and safety I k kw Ill.have to play around but I'd like the high and low frequency
Sorry man that yours isn’t working. I know a lot of people that use this and we haven’t had any problems so far but maybe you got a bad one. Also I know certain vehicles have noise issues inherently so maybe that’s just something with your vehicle or maybe it was just a bad DSP but usually these things are pretty solid.
Your main output level is too high. It sort of clips over 3/4 Distortion.Think of that setting as a gain setting and not a volume setting It has noise if you go over that. Buy a ground loop isolator install befor the unit rcas
The X6 Air is basically the same processor, but with a reduced size and 32 bits. It only works with the App. www.expertelectronics.com.br/produtos/visualizar/27
