The US has been at the forefront of world diplomacy since the end of WW2. It's far too late to back out of all the agreements that have been made over the last century without severely damaging our reputation and destabilizing the rest of the world. There are far too many aggressive regimes out there that would take advantage of the absence of the US. You may not like that we are involved in these conflicts, but you probably also don't like that millions, if not billions, of innocent people would suffer if we don't try to do something. People don’t understand that when Iran attacked Israel in retaliation for their strike a few months ago, they gave 2 to 3 days notice and told Israel and the United States exactly what they would be launching and where. It’s why there was such a large amount of shoot downs. Iran didn’t want escalation, they just wanted to show that they were serious. If Iran ever decided to launch a strike like that, but no heads up, it would be a whole different story. Basically the United States, Great Britain, and Israel were all sitting around, waiting with their planes already loaded and in the air to shoot them down as Iran warned of ahead of time. It was basically Iran’s way of saying that we’re serious but don’t want full on war. Unfortunately, I think it made Israel population feel untouchable.
