She’s right about real estate! Take Richmond estate gated community, a year ago a house was $250,000 US Now it’s $350 ,000 US that is an increase by $100,000 US within a year ,that is amazing ! There is a RU-vidr the Stevens family and he bought a house in Richmond Estate and he said since he bought his house in Richmond Estate in 2020 it as been appreciated by 100,000 US and he only moved in like 2 months ago ! There have been people commenting on RU-vid ,that they went down to make purchase at Richmond and they have sold out, even on houses , that haven’t even build yet !! Not even in the United States these days you can buy a house and it becomes appreciated by $100,000 within a year ! From watching his channel it would seems like right about now 3 of the biggest investment in Jamaica is Real Estate , NCB bank and JPSco He seems to be making a pretty good living off those 3 investment Hmm 🤔
It really about supply & demand. Jamaica is not building enough available housing stock to be absorbed and this is always a contributing factor with Jamaica's real estate. It appears that the developers, government and others are not interest in alleviating this equilibrium. So in the US, price fluctuations are always in equilibrium , hence a better driven set up.
@@miyard9233 I agree with you 💯 The demand is there but the supply isn’t because most time it’s hard for the average working class Jamaicans ,to afford it because that is like around $54 million JA so most time it’s expatriates and foreigners that buys them and that is so sad. The government need to make housing more affordable to the working class Jamaicans too especially the younger generation ! Hmm 🤔
We often wonder what our purpose is, as your grandmother said, “We are all here for a reason.” Wealth management is not something that many people truly understand. Yes, most people understand saving but when it comes to wealth, many are still trying to figure it out. As Mrs. Vanzie said, we must find ways that will continue to motivate us to get the knowledge and training in the areas that we need to build our wealth. We must do research and analysis to learn what is happening now and what will be happening in the near future. Success in life depends on your willingness to never give up, even when the reward is delayed. Thanks so much for sharing this great information.
The storytelling and practical nature in which this information was given really helps the opportunity and mindset for families to look at generational wealth building 💱
Omg!!!! This was absolutely AMAZING. The financial information/advice that Ms. Vanzie gave is what I would pay for as a potential Foreign Investor. She is knowledgeable and an expert in her field. Also, she is correct…Portland is developing so much and having been to Port Antonio 6 times in 2.5 years…I believe this to be true. This is the reason why on top of loving the culture, the people…access to rivers etc…why I am deciding to invest here. One this is where I will retire and also because Portland has my heart. I also want to help with the health disparities and will be utilizing my 17 plus years in the field to promote health & wellness. Im so glad I had time to watch the entire segment and look forward to more informative interviews like this. Thank you Mr. Wellington. 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾 Thank you Ms. Vanzie.
Definitely bring Jermin back for more conversations - she's brilliant, dropping all the gems! I would love to learn more about investing in Jamaica's stock exchange and real estate and taxes related to both. Always appreciate these thoughtful discussions.
This was a EXCELLENT video! I specifically enjoyed the part regarding GENERATIONAL WEALTH and the strategies she mentioned. Love her personal stories, practical advice and her passion to help other achieve financial freedom. Great interview Thorp and thank you Jermin for your wisdom.
I know i'm going to love this interview! She's charming, a trailblazer, beautiful and confident, intellectual and brilliant and the list goes on and on! Now let me get back to the video!:))
In my opinion this is the most important informational drop. Please invite this gem of forward thinking/planning back to the channel. Financial literacy is the great equalizer. Individuals entering the stock market for short, medium and long term needs is a powerful vehicle in creating generational wealth. Bravo Mr. Throp!!!
This is a quality and scholarly education that will catapult you to the plateau to achieve great wealth, even from a personal perspective. I am highly grateful for this absolutely free information that is priceless. Thank you both, Throp, and Jermin, I am really motivated to dive right into this financial environment. Again, thank you so very much!
I am from England where i work as a journalist until i met Expert Mrs AVA. Mrs AVA is legit and her method works like magic. I keep earning every single week with her new strategy.
@Miss33 Kwanfa Thanks for introducing me to her, my first investment with Mrs AVA gave me profit of over $24,000 us dollars and ever since then she has never failed to deliver and I can even say she's the most sincere broker I have known.
Very informative session. I luv her authenticity, her breath and depth of financial knowledge and the her storytelling abilities which cement everything together in a practical way for easy understanding.
Brother, I have been here with the channel almost since day one and I have to say this was one of the best videos you have given us so far. Thank you and Jermin for this one. 🏁
Throp, your channel has grown so fast! You continue to produce awesome content. This interview with Jermin Vanzie was by far my favorite interview. She and I have so much in common in terms of financial intelligence and business acumen. Thank you for sharing this informational video!
Excellent video! I am an African-American property investor. I am so proud of you both. Good show. Great advice. I am a subscriber and I may just contact Jermin too!
Wow I need to go back and revisit my idea to buy property in Jamaica sooner rather than later. She gave excellent advice especially from her personal experiences. Great interview!
This was an exceptional interview Throp!Jermin is a wealth of information and inspiration! I love the diversification advice she gave to her daughter! Thank you for highlighting that! My takeaway is BUY NOW & HOLD FOR LATER ⏰ Que Kenny Rogers “You Got To Know When to Hold ‘Em!” Great advice!!
@@Throp u don't have to only invest in Jamaica one can spread their wings & think outside the box as well. Rwanda is booming right now... & in years to come it's gonna be a force to reckon with, all eyes are set on it NOW.... land is super cheap over there if u can buy piece now & put it down believe me that's a huge investment!
Thanks again for the wealth of information from your guest, alot my generation was not brought up with any financial sense or had any real knowledge of how finance work. Amazing lady with great financial knowledge and advice, love her family story.
Great interview as usual. Throp, my parents had same story of entrepreneurship in Africa and the US, didn’t believe I. Credit, but eventually took a big loss in tech stock bubble of the 90’s, wiped out. Thankfully they still had a few properties so they could retire with no debt. Dad passed last year at 90 a life well lived. Right now I’m trying to replicate they realestate investment in Africa with my 3 sisters and maybe one day a vacation spot in Jamaica with my husband and another potential investor. I learn a lot from this content.Thank you.
This was a very informative and intriguing episode. I came across your channel a couple weeks ago, and incidentally, days before a week long visit to Negril. Happy to see the many ways in which we can continue to invest in, and shine a light on our beautiful country.
Wow..so much info fron Jermin..she is a wealth of knowledge..Thank you so much Trop for all your information on Jamaica..I will definitely reach out to her later..Blessings
This video is very informative and insightful like many of your other videos. I now see why this topic on finances resonates with so many people. People living overseas want to invest in Jamaica but really do not have the knowledge or know where to start. Glad that she gave out her contact info.
Please interview Ms Gail Jackson owner of NEGRIL Treehouse (we all wanna hear about being a BLACK FEMALE EXPAT and her start up of Treehouse ! We are all looking forward to that interview Winthrop-one love
Great interview!! Invaluable information regardless of age or residency. As Thorp stated, my intro to finance was also in college (Pace University) but in practical maybe at 25. Looking for to Jermin being back.
Very important she replies to her customers. Can be frustrating being abroad, where some of us cannot simply walk into a branch to see the advisor. Or make an appointment.
I love Portland something bad ❤️❤️❤️ I fear all the traffic will take away from my nice little Portland. But I understand it will help people feed their families.
Great discussion. I don’t like to say I surround myself with people better than me, because what if those people said the same thing, they would not want to be friends with me…
Thank you. Much appreciated You could be better than your friends at a particular skill set; finance, mindfulness, fitness. Where your friends may be better at networking, public speaking, conflict resolution. It should be a reciprocating relationship of some sort. You’re also more than likely not to hang around the same people all the time. On the contrary if you’re hanging out with unambitious, negative Nancy’s that will undoubtably rub off on you. I suppose my point is to surround yourself with people of substance that you can learn from
This was very informative, thank you I’m very partial to the West End and never really thought of Portland so thanks for putting it on my radar. Would like to eventually move to the west side of the island, do you think I’m too late too the party?
Absolutely not! It’s still early days. I’m working currently working on a video bringing this exact point home. I’m hoping to have it out by the end of March
Yes St Thomas is it.I bought land there already. Because I come from there. I just which they hurry and fixed the road. Because the road is bad. I just came from visiting
I am from Portland and in the coming years Portland will be the next hot spot. The highway is currently being worked on and trust me, she hit the nail on the head. I am also expecting that the Dragon Bay hotel (owned by Sandals) will be back open and in full operation very soon.
I have a piece of land in yallahs behind the health center I am thinking about building a apartment building, let me know if that’s a good idea please n thank you
Nice video, dividends is good but I strongly believe in mostly grows stacks, crypto is very volatile but you can gain a lot of cash in crypto especially is u have a professional. nft is another investment for the future especially now with this meta verse there’s a lot of money to be made .
A very good book to help people understand and grow wealth is: " The Richest Man in Babylon". It is a very interesting read, the audio book is also available for those who don't have the time to read. It should also be on youtube.
One question, What impact has SSL debacle had on the investment climate in Jamaica? Can anybody be confident that their investment is safe? And the Sector is being adequately monitored by relevant authorities, given the past failings of FSC and the Minister of Finance? And another question, why are there so many obviously fake posts contained herein? Is anybody being set up?
When all the criminals are in jail, and people are not at the mercy of extortion and racketeering. It is good to make money but what is the point if you are not safe.
There's crime everywhere. A lot of Jamaicans are just focusing on crime. There's so much more to Jamaica. Just take a look at all the foreigners who have moved to Jamaica and are making a killing while Jamaicans can only talk about crime. I'm sure if you listen to the news wherever you are you hear about crime but it doesn't seem to bother some. In my opinion there is no place better than JAMAICA
