Expert RAW update - S23 ultra long exposure 

A comparison between using the "ND-Filter" in the app vs using the real ND-Filters from Freewell might be interesting. As in shooting the same photo using the same filter steps with both methods and comparing the quality, especially in brighter areas of the image to see how close the app filter gets to the real one. I'm still a beginner but as I understood it a software ND-filter isn't actually something that is possible, if the details get blown out they're gone so I'm really curious how their software filter actually works. I also wonder why the software ND-Filter goes up to ND1000, that really sounds like it shouldn't be possible with software and with limiting exposure to 4sec while the software ND filter is active the use cases for such high ND values seem pretty limited.

It seems that the software ND Filter on Samsung's Expert Raw has limitations. Like, the exposure length is limited to 4 seconds even the ND filter is at 10-stop or ND1000. Perhaps, due the fixed aperture of the main cam of the S23 Ultra at f/1.7, so the amount of light entering the sensor stays the same and also the DoF is fixed. Dear Shane, I would love to see a waterfall long exposure photograph on the S23 Ultra during the evening time/before sunrise or golden hour/blue hour to see whether the the shutter speed changes or not when the ND filter is applied.

S22 ultra doesn't have ND😢 option in Expert Raw.

I have the S23 and Expert Raw, but this update hasn't arrived to my phone yet in my region :/

why I don't have

They should start by making the app create actual raw files, at the moment there is just a compressed jpg with heavy color banding in dark areas inside the dng container.
