Explained the difference between Turn Off Console & Full Shutdown in XBOX Console 

I had this one issue were games would randomly crash to homepage or even the system restarts during a match in rainbow six siege. Doing a full shutdown it fixed all the random crashes. I think its good to do a full shutdown once a week

I said this on another video but Microsoft really need an update so you can have the option to put it to sleep or fully shut it down through the: (what do you like to do?) menu instead of having to go through the settings to fully shut it down

Whoahhh do not listen to what he just said about the fan “Staying on the WHOLE TIME” plus HE HAS HIS Xbox set to standby mode not energy saver which is why your fans on!!! Because technically it’s in sleep mode like a PC!! We just seen his Xbox instantly wake up instead of actually turning on. Bro YOU DO REALIZE THAT RIGHT? That’s not true about the fan…….. xbox has been doing this since the xbox 360. When you “turn off your console” your fan stays on depending on how hot your Xbox series X/S or Xbox one, Xbox one S/X. For example if your playing a game for a little while your console will heat up around normal operating temperature, for the Xbox series X anywhere between 90 degrees Fahrenheit (32.22 degrees Celsius) to 135/140 degrees Fahrenheit (60 degrees Celsius) and if you suddenly quit the game and “turn off” your Xbox the fan will stay on for a few MOMENTS until the console cools down internally about 85-75 degrees Fahrenheit!!!!!! The reason Microsoft does this is because if you suddenly shutdown your console after using it for a little while what happens to the consoles cooling system? Should it just turn off also and leave your console baking at its normal operating temperature as I mentioned before like 130 degrees Fahrenheit?!!???!!? No that would literally cut your consoles life span in half plus it would take over an hour for it to cool down on its own or longer depending how on your room temperature!!! Which as I mentioned before it would be baking itself! Here’s the real FACT- your console warm or hot and you decide you want to take a break gaming or streaming and you turn off the console right away… the FAN will continue to stay on and suck out that hot air and since you turned off your xbox it’s no longer going to continue growing heat! So it takes even less time for your fan to suck out all that hot air and then turn off. Now to BEGIN with you should never turn off your console right away after Quitting a game or whatever your doing that warmed up your console in the first place (other then just being on lol) After leaving a game or leaving app,close it and quit it. And give your console literally 2-3 mins tops to cool down from 120-130 degrees Fahrenheit to about 75 degrees Fahrenheit, and then turn off your console, therefore you allowed your console to exhaust out the heat and your CPU AND GPU cool down a lot quicker then shutting off your console right away! Because with the console on just idling (sitting on Xbox home, No games or apps running it background) the fan has more watts available which means higher RPM’s which mean console cools down in a matter of a minute or two! Because if you shut off your console right away while it was running at its normal operating temperature, the Xbox gives the fan less power because why??…. Yep you guessed it!!! less electricity running through the console means it cools down quicker so if you shut it off right away it basically cuts the fans power in half and the RPM’s so at the same time your fan is still on trying to cool off your console, your console is also limiting the amount of power or watts to the fan to make sure the console will only climb down to a cooler temperature. You guys can test this theory out right now, turn on your Xbox start up a game play it for like 15 minutes (console should warm up atleast 90-105 degrees Fahrenheit by then) and then quit the game and turn off your console right away! You’ll watch your fan sloooowwww down after console turns completely off but keeps spinning around 600-1100RPM and after a minute or two (depending on how hot it got) you’ll see your fan then turn off,instead of shutting offf with your Xbox and letting it bake inside for an hour! this video blew my mind when it said the fan stays on the whole time. Did he really think the fan stays on 24/7 “keeping the console cool”? Because when you turn it off it’s off, the fan doesn’t have to keep running 24/7 keeping the console cool when it’s off. Everything I said is a fact, go message Microsoft or txt them, they’ll tell you the same thing. See I know this because I’m a Automotive technician and electronics technician fixing/rebuilding motors or replacing CPU’s,GPU’s and so on. Oh and the difference between turning off your console or shutting It down is this, if you turn your console off your storage device, SSD-Xbox series X/S, HDD Xbox one/S/X will still function which means is it does updates in the background after console is off or it’s just communicating with Microsoft servers or simple things like that….. “shutting down your console turns off your storage device” that’s the difference and it’s barely noticeable between electricity usage seriously. But for real guys go “turn off your Xbox series X/S or Xbox one” and you’ll see the fan stop in a few moments and that’s only if you console was at operating temperature from playing a game or so. Microsoft actually wants your consoles to live long, my Xbox one X was 6 years old before I upgraded to series X!

This is all new to me, I just noticed the whole "instant on" thing with my series x. I like to fall asleep with Hulu or even a DVD playing in the background sometimes, but now I'm just finding out it just sorta goes into a "sleep mode" after a few hours instead of a "full shut down"??? How do I turn off "instant on" and still be able to get a "full shutdown" automatically after I go to bed...? Is this not possible anymore....?

It's very confusing how in Xbox's world "shut down" actually means "sleep mode." WHY NOT JSUT CALL IT SLEEP MODE??? 🤦🏼‍♂🤦🏼‍♂ Especially if someone wants to use a dust cover for their Xbox, it's important that it's not generating heat.
